K-Swiss Express Light Pickleball Shoe Review
I have both the luxx invikta and the vanguard control invikta and I can say hands down the latter gives me better control, maneuverability, power and touch.
Just picked up my Head Radical Nite from Head distributor.
Any reviews on the HEAD Boom Tour EX?
Xin hỏi vợt xuất xứ sản xuất ở đâu vậy ạ?
I am an advanced player i bought it and love this paddle it elevated my game ! 100% recomended i did consider the VANGUARD POWER AIR INVIKTA but i think i made the right decisoon sticking to the Head
Does it dampen the impact well? Have some worry on the vibration
How will the surface material wear is my main concern. I saw one in action recently and was impressed with the feel of the Paddle.. but how will the surface material wear as it feels a lot like soft felt …so will it hole after time.
That is something we are interested in finding out as well. We are monitoring our demos which are being taken out constantly, and as of right now (having been actively used for about 7 weeks) they still look like they are brand new. I think our customers have thankfully been taking good care of them 😅
Good review
Can you do a review of Vatic pro prism and Oxiken paddles. Thank you
@@bemplassery If we end up bringing in those brands, then I'll be able to do a review on them. However, as of right now, we don't carry these brands at RacquetGuys.
@@bemplassery I have been using the Vatic Pro Prism for about 8 months. Found it much better than my Joola essential Paddle. More control I would say.
Wait, so the Nite is a new paddle & not just a cosmetic-only release? In tennis, the Head “nite” editions were exactly the same racquets, just with a darker cosmetic-an alternative aesthetic that tips its cap to US Open night sessions
I'm trying to find confirmation anywhere that this net can be kept fully assembled on an outdoor court. Does it mention that anywhere in the manual or would you have any hesitation about keeping this net assembled outdoors year round? Through rain and sun and all that jazz?
Loose grip. Yes, thanks for reminder!
Great review and I concur with your observations 100%... my reset reactions have improved and the control on this thing is A-MAZING... and the spin capabilities is PHENOMENAL... my curve-serve has become even MORE formidable to my opponents with this paddle... HIGHLY recommended.... bought it a month ago and it's become my #1, thanks to its performance profile...
We've heard that the new Gen 3 paddles have been experiencing 'core crushing', where the paddle cores lose some structural stability and consequently become even more powerful with increased trampoline effect from the crushed pockets within the paddle's core. You'll know this has occurred if you are able to hear a crunching sound when pressing on the paddle face with your thumb. Certainly not intentional, but if this has happened to your paddle - please make sure to register your paddle for the warranty with Joola.
I am surprised to not see the Luxx here
They are core crushing!!!!!!!
We've recently become aware that this is happening.
Can I get a free one
Why such negativity? Just like the Gearbox these are the next big thing. Until the next paddle that will cost even more. Don’t look now but that’s just the way things are. Aren’t baseballs jumping out of parks even further and with higher exit velocity? Aren’t golf balls being hit to parts on the drive never experienced by players? Yep, all that equipment is more expensive now to. So ……
College uses aluminum bats, pros use wood. It’s starting to completely change the game good or bad. Personally not a fan of Gearbox, unfair advantage
@@brandotex Have you seen the review in which they test a Carbon 1X alongside a GB pro in terms of "flick" power standing at the kitchen line. The Carbon is timed at .35 seconds the GB at .19 seconds. The overwhelming power is really not fun to play against.
not exactly an in-depth or non-biased review
1 year warranty on a $280 paddle with a little extra foam in it 💀
Please review the new Diadem Speed Pro. It’s fucking fast! Real fucking fast! 😂
Great advice
What is different between Standard and Power? 18k have Standard, Power and Power Pro to choose
The way they were manufactured, pressed, heated/melted and the power pro has a .4 inch longer handle length
What are you using to measure the power on the paddle other than manufacture specs?
Its was helpful. Thank you!
How about HUDEF Viva Pro Gen2 (Power﹢)?
Excellent reviews
I've been playing with mine for about two weeks and absolutely love it. I already utilize an effective screwball serve which I believe is legal, and this paddle surface enhances it greatly. I have played tennis for most of my life but pickleball is somewhat new to me. I am trying to develop a topspin serve but creating topspin in this game is a little different than I'm used to and I look forward to the 18K helping me out. I typically hit a backspin backhand and while I just hit it as I normally do I get lots of comments about spin from opponents who have trouble hitting it back to me. The power is adequate for me because I tend to use tennis methodology with my ground strokes and would be hitting it long all the time if it was a power producing paddle. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.
I play with a guy who's gone through 3 LUXX's since release. Paint grit is super weak in his opinion. Selkirk also fought him on replacing it in the first 30 day
Do you know how long it took to have this issue produce itself? I just bought this paddle.
@@msgdob86 My friend hits almost EVERY shot with spin. He showed me his paddle after 3 weeks and the sweet spot was smooth. He said all the paddles wore down the same. If "spin" is your game, I'd pass.
@@kimleith1378 The Diadem Edge 18k is probably one of the best for spin, and the surface should hold its integrity for much longer due to the unique carbon fiber weaves that are incorporated in its design. Additionally, if you use a rubber paddle eraser to remove the dirt/debris that can accumulate and get stuck in the fibers of the surface, you'll keep the surface of your paddle in optimum condition and won't see it wear down as quickly.
@@pickleballguys687 Apples n Oranges. Paint grit vs Peel Ply. Peel ply creates the roughness, not the type of carbon
The truth is that most that buy a control paddle, they just want to bang without their ball going long. Nothing to do with touch.
Using placement and control to get the heavy hitters in my group to the kitchen to dink is my goal with the LUXX.
@@kimleith1378 you have to change the heavy hitter mentality first. Let's face it bangers win their share of games quicker with less energy. This paddle is for those that want a better short game, blocking, defense and keep the ball down not for those that want bang.
@@gg80108 That's my goal. Much better on my 69 yr old body. Force my oponent to speed up a ball that is low make them reach.
@@gg80108I’m a banger, and I want to take 20% off my shot. This paddle won’t help me with that, but once I drill enough to control my shot, the paddle will help the touch feel better on the dinks/drops/resets. My ultimate goal is to have a better overall game. Bangers who don’t want to change that and struggle with accuracy will find themselves frustrated.
Why no comment on POP, which is different than a full swing power.
great video. short. right to the point. helpful. and, you are comfortable in front of the camera. have you tried the "new" gearbox pro series and what are your thoughts?
Out of your mind
maybe 2 stars at best. have them at our club durability and reliability are definitely in question!!
Hi. Could you make a comparison/review between a Gearbox CX11E Power vs Gearbox Pro Power Elongated? Which is a better paddle in terms of power, speed, control, etc? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
We can definitely look into making a comparison or at least a review video for the new Gearbox Pro Series paddles. We are just waiting on them to arrive!
too early to review all 2023, Gerbox Pro Power just hit the market recently
Hi. Could you make a comparison/review between Gearbox Pro Power and Gearbox CX11E Power? Which is a better paddle in terms of power, control, feel, speed, etc ? Hope to hear from you soon. God Bless.
The fact that you don't know how to pronounce Joola lets me know that you don't know much about pickleball, let alone paddles. The Model E Elite being thermoformed makes it more powerful and less controllable than the original Model E. The GBX is a joke. The Vanguard series is simply irrelevant in 2023.
Great vid. I’ve played about 5 years now, started with paddletek, then head which was a great paddle but now shopping for my next paddle. As paddles are quite the price I’ve been really researching and you video has been very helpful, thank you.
Thank you for watching, I'm glad the info was helpful to you.
What is that contraption behind you to your right? Is it for Pickleball?
Top Spin Pro
I've played moderately with the Pro Kennex Black Ace, and extensively with the Selkirk Invikta, and recently switched to the Diadem Icon V2. For me, the Icon V2 has more power and better control than both the Black Ace and the Invikta
The Diadem Icon series was very close to making our list. It was a close call between the Icon V2 and the Head Extreme Tour Max.
Interested in the Diadem warrior 2. Would that be good for a woman and most importantly, I have tennis elbow plus wrist strain. Would that paddle work?
The Warrior V2 paddle weighs just over 8 oz. So it's in the heavy weight category, however it is very good at absorbing energy and shock/vibration. If you are concerned with the weight potentially being an issue with your wrist, you may want to look for a lighter weight paddle. The Selkirk Vanguard series is a great choice and they are available as lightweight variants. The Selkirk Invikta Vanguard would be the closest comparison to the Warrior V2 in terms of shape. Personally, I'm excited to try out Selkirk's Luxx Control Air paddles which are 20mm, and have a feeling they will be contenders as one of the best control paddles. We are expecting them to arrive hopefully by next week and then we'll make a review video for those as soon as possible. They apparently weigh between 7.7 - 8.1 oz, but I predict that they will feel very maneuverable for their weights based on their design.
my control Go to is the Joola Radius
Not impressive
YOOLA
Yes, only if you want to pronounce it in German way.
Pro drive carbon too
thanks much........good info. Been looking at the Diadem and the Gruvn
You need to get the name pronunciation correct on Joola paddle. Oops... Why did you comment on sweet spot size on these paddles?
Paddletek?
The Ronbus r1.16 is nice, too.
Great review! Very thorough. Seem like nice paddles, but I wonder if the grit painted surface will wear off quickly... this was a complaint seen with others having the same surface.
What about the 003?
We will be reviewing the Selkirk Luxx Control Air paddles soon! They are the retail version of the Selkirk Labs 003 paddle with a more stylish cosmetic.
The face is a mix of 80% carbon with 20% fiberglass
Prize pls?!
