Language excused! Well done!
Hello, congratulations on the game, I hope you progress and have the product ready to publish. I'm contacting you because I'm new to playmaker and I'm trying to do the "drag and drop" thing to implement it in a VR prototype. It doesn't hurt to ask, but it would be possible if you shared only the part of that function perhaps with standard blocks or cubes. Thank you very much in advance, greetings!
Liked, Subscribed and wishlisted on steam <3 I'm very proud of you for sticking with it through all the grueling stressful learning periods and truly making something special. I am still new on my journey hoping to fully develop something playable and original. So far I'm stuck with tabletop simulator playtesting because I have no idea how to use Unity or other game engines. I would love to pick your brain and talk about things if you ever have the time. Thanks for the awesome video!
How the hell did I figure all this out lmao
Hi! Thanks for this video. I know it's old but had a question. I'm ready to pull the trigger on Affinity for my card making but wanted to see if there were two use cases it may or may not support. What you've shown is great for getting cards ready for printing but what about prototyping? I usually have multiple cards I print on an 8.5" x 11" standard paper size and cut them out to put into sleeves. When setting up cards the way you have shows is there an easy way to do this? I don't want to print 1 card per page as that is wasteful. The second use case it putting icons within text fields. I often like to use icons within card descriptions to represent various things. I don't see an easy way to do this with the template method you describe. Lastly, have you used the newer data merge features with Affinity to help make cards even quicker? Thanks in advance for any advice.
I just downloaded affinity publisher, design , and photoshop.. but which is the best to use for making card games? Additionally if im planning to make my cards 3.5" by 2.5" should i use that exact template?
The Deck manager looks amazing. I just started playing around with Unity today in an attempt to make a deck manager of my own some day.
Attempting to make my first game and following you, was this made with purely the visual scripting?
Yup. 99% of it was made with playmaker visual scripting.
Question. I'm using Affinity Publisher 2 and on my screen when I create a new project and put in the pixels, it'll still have it on an 8 1/2" x 11 with a border in the center. And it's all white without the alpha checked background. I'm wondering if I'm missing something for my setup.
I think I'm experiencing the same thing you did. (Additionally, my border in the center seems way too narrow compared to the height.) Did you ever figure it out?
hey bro...can you import image using url instead of direct file links on in data merge
Hi…im a teacher from malaysia..was wondering if you could help me on learning the making of tcg games…coz i wanted to make educational card game…
Cant lie bro even though the card designs remind me of pokemon. Id rather play this than pokemon, it actually looks promising yo.
Thanks! Hoping to have the a demo for everybody to try soon. Thanks again for checking the game out!
Pretty good! Like and subbed.
Thanks!!!
Congratulations it took a long time but you are now A professional game developer Not many people can build solo scalable projects.
Much appreciated! Thank you!
'PromoSM' 😞
Any idea how to use the spreadsheet? I’m having trouble linking the api key and login not sure what it needs
👍
Thank you! 🤜🤛
Great video, I learned a lot for my project. Good luck on yours!
Thanks a lot and I’m glad I could help!
Appreciate you bro, one of my favourite card maker tutorials out there I get alot of value form your videos!
Thank you! It’s really great to hear that man.
looks amazing!, great idea men,
👊 Thanks! I appreciate it!
Can't wait to try this game out
Me too! I feel pretty good about this project going forward. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to release some gameplay footage and then shortly after that release it on steam. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.
This game board looks gorgeous god damn
Thanks!!!
Hi, I saw your project and I congratulate you on what you managed to achieve with playmaker and drag and drop. I would like to know if you would like to make a basic tutorial in which you show how to implement this mode step by step. For example, to be able to place objects on a grid and be able to rotate them at will. I thank you for your availability.
For sure at some point I’ll do a dedicated tutorial. As far as rotating on command, I’d try to use the transform rotation action or something like that and have it trigger from a mouse down event on the card or dedicated rotate buttons.. Not sure yet how I’d handle rotation direction, but perhaps you could put left and right arrow buttons to do that.
You can get rid of the fill, if you don't need the color rather than decreasing the opacity
🤦♂️ You’re exactly right. Way easier doing it that way. Appreciate the feedback!
@@globalconflicttcg no worries, I appreciate the video!
niceee cant wait to play it
in my opinion, I think the opposite of you, these to me look best on the left worst on the right, I have played a lot of card games, pokemon being my least played admittedly, but others like magic and yugioh far more, personally the left is more readable, I do like the larger pictures of the right, but the borders look flatter and the colors seem to overtake the writing for me, its your game, so do as you wish, just my opinion
having had a closer look, I think the font change was also a really good change, but the colors and the texture of the border definitely is best in the first print run, again just in my opinion
Appreciate the feedback! Lighting definitely plays a factor. I’ll admit the first run shows better under direct lighting compared to normal lighting in my house with contrast between the background and text being the biggest issue. The color from the first run with the improved font from the later runs would have looked great. It’s tough trying to figure out what will look good on the physical cards. The first run looked great on the computer screen lol.
This just got recommended to me, and I'm glad it did. Looks really cool.
Thanks! Glad to have you along for the ride!
I love your design, and also I just got Affinity Publisher V2. Not a criticism, but is "Hemispher" spelled on purpose that way instead of hemisphere?
Nice catch!!! I’ll make sure to update that. Thank you!
: )
In the middle of creating my TCG and this has been really helpful!
Happy to help and good luck on your TCG! Excited to see what you got in the works.
Looks interesting. Hope you finish it.
