JUST WAIT UNTIL THAT ENGINE DROPS A VALVE SEAT. IT WILL BE A MESS IN THE CYLINDERS. OR A FEW LIFTERS POP OUT AND GROUND ROUND ALUMINUM EVERYWHERE UNDER THE VALVE COVERS. OUCH HUH.

Careful the 4.7 does not like high RPM and high mileage. Drops valve seats or throws a lifter out a high RPM and then you need a new motor. Just saying.

I have to say I had a 2012 Dodge Ram double cab SLT 4.7 And I race a 2015 Silverado and Beat It and I reached a Chevy Silverado Vortec Max with the 6.0 And beat that to and I raced a older Dodge Ram with a 5.9 V8 and also beat that I raised a 4 cylinder BMW But like a 90s model. And beat that When I used to floor it on 25 or 30 miles an hour the back tired used to spin

That little 4.7 is pretty impressive, how often do you run the 125 shot? Does your trans seem to hold if you are using that much of a shot all the time?

All it does more or less is lower the rpm at which you make torque. And it suppose to race the rpm at which you can torque stand at the line without spinning tires.

juan g you have an edge?
you have to rev it 3000 rpm or so right before to car feels like its going to move while holding the brake , then let the brake go. you will get much more acceleration. you are not getting the full use of your torque converter just stepping on it. try it. have fun.
RGB Reading a stall? I don't think so buddy. The higher the stall the more the engine is required to work before even moving the vehicle thus consuming more fuel. 80% of the heat from an automatic transmission comes from the torque converter. That's why on almost all auto transmissions fluid goes directly from the converter to the cooler. Having a stall means much more heat and it's highly advised that you install an external transmission cooler (provided your vehicle doesn't already have one) with a stall converter.
Carlos Rodriguez no. an upgraded torque converter is much more efficient than the OEM. this is where you have better MPGs, and recover HP. with a good TC you wont need a tranny cooler, only if you do towing, launching, et cetera . if you change your RAR to something like 3.73, yeah you engine RPMs will be higher and yes you would want a tranny cooler as well.

RGB Reading The higher the stall, the more heat that will be created. Higher stall=more slippage=more heat. It would be a good idea to get a transmission cooler.
