I hate they killed Clay off the show
Believe it or not...AJ Buckley (who plays Sonny) was not born in Texas. In fact, he's not even American. He was born in Ireland then moved to Canada when he was 6 years old. Then he got his start in acting when he was 17.
In an interview with AJ Buckley (actor playing Sonny), the name calling started in Season 2 but it was actually off script, between him and Max. But the writers liked it so much they added it to Sonny's character.

So absolutely gutted about Clay. Sonny and Clay’s friendship was the best thing about this show, and I think they should have found a way for him to leave without killing him off. 😭
Omg Ikr Clay was the best character too. It was a big mistake killing him off man I get that the actor wanted to leave but come on man. Couldn't they just have him leave with Stella and his son? It was unnecessary killing him off no need for it at all.
