The Mermaid’s Tale is a women’s boutique, filled with fashionable accessories and clothing, along with unique and personal gift items. Owner, Judy Recknagel, opened The Mermaid’s Tale in 1992 as a gift and antique shop. A few years later she phased out the antiques to bring her customers all the offerings of a woman’s boutique. She was excited to share her love of jewelry, handbags, clothing and so many more fabulous accessories with her customers!

How do I take a link out?
Hi! You remove links the same way you open the watch. So, open the watch by pulling up the closure. Then remove a link by pulling up the closure on a link. Hope this helps!

What is the story on the soft rounded “handles” on the table.
Second or third shelf looks like the Hobo Sheila in suede? I remember thinking it was olive color. I once had a suede coat with that color and many strangers commented their approval of it. 😊

How do you add or change charms for the Beverly glam bracelet?
Hi MaryAnn! You would take off the lobster claw closures from the side of the bracelet with the smaller ring. Then your charms slide off and on that side. The larger ring on the other side of the bracelet keeps them from falling off. :)

I have a closet full of Brighton handbags and really like them...except for the ones with silver decorations on them. I keep them in their bag and the box and every one of them with silver decorations has pitted and tarnished. The manager at the Brighton store in Grandville Mi said she has never heard of this happening but I think this is how the EMPLOYEES are supposed to respond. The manager went through the list of things not to do with their bags and I don't do any of them and yet every single bag has a problem. if I do buy another bag it will have no silver decorations ...or maybe now is the time to switch to another brand. I have spent thousands of dollars and I will not do this anymore. I do believe they keep off the negative comments.....we will see what happens when they read this.
