    Love the MG4 - on my shopping list when the used prices come down a bit more! Was this the MG4 Trophy or SE?

    I have an Ohme Pro and it’s very good although I still cannot work out how to set the charge start time. The charger usually shows starting at a time between 00.01 and 00.12 (I have cheap overnight power) but who set these times? Each charge time varies.

    Easy chargers to install but word of caution if the charger can't get an internet signal it basically turns into a dum charger and you won't be able to set charging times up etc to get the cheap tariffs, very frustrating as an installer as this part of the install is out of our hands.

    Kia took the Harman Karma. Stereo out of the Niro and I think that’s a bit cheeky. And it’s also still a wired Apple or Google, where as the newer cars in the range are wireless.

    My wife has one and really doesn’t like it. Best range we’ve had is 210 miles. We optioned with the heat pump as well. Software is rubbish. Phone App is also rubbish too. Though software and maps are now out of date, but Kia will charge you for updating it.

      I have an EV4 and in summer easily get over 260 miles using a normal mixture of driving, and I live in the Chilterns so it's all hills and valleys Now it's Winter with heating, heated seats and steering wheel all in operation I am getting about 220 miles range. It is, however the 64KW battery, not the smaller one. Agrtee the phone app could be improved, but does what I want. With regard to the nav updates.mine automatically updates a couple of times a year - if it doesn't you can download the updates and do it yourself using a USB stick.. Prior to an update about a year ago it wouldn't update automatically. Once I installed that it is now faultless.

    Would you consider the seats to be high? Considering this vehicle, but would prefer one with a high seating position compared to a 'normal' car, for ease of entry and exit...

    the fact that they catch fire and literally melt the road makes it unsafe for anybody that cares about thier family no it doesn't happen often at all in fact it is quite rare but is quite rare safe enough for your children your family it is not for mine now maybe this has been fully resolved now I coulnd't tell you with any certainty myself so I suggest you look it up first but less range because its cold outside was also an issue I do not know if it still is but still very inconvient with charge times when putting fuel in takes 5 mins max and is far more reliable to me having a 50 year old petrol car that still holds value I know people who have brought electric cars that drop in value as soon as they own it and after a year I keep getting told they can't even re sell it as it does not hold value and forget working on your own car so if something goes wrong no chance thats going to be cheap so all the cons and many I have not listed makes it an incredibly ignorant to even consider going electric and if anyone says it's greener it is not the battery cost on the enviroment alone is quite outstanding especially if you have seen a lithium mine completly destroys the entire area so you do you but I will be a lot safer finacially and in general in my lovely petrol car

    Personally I think the Ohme looks untidy, you have to have that additional junction box on the wall and the lead is hung on a bracket that look like a garden hose bracket from Temu not good when you’re paying over a grand

    • @FéargalO
      @FéargalO День назад

      Not a very good design by OHME i feel. Really do not like the power cable input position.. why is there no power input from rear on the Pro ? Epod looks a much better and tidier option. The OHME FB group has had posts recently detailing water getting into the pro model..i presume if under warranty OHME will honor the warranty but have seen no such issues with the epod model. Some of the botched / lazy installation photos /videos of the pro model have made it an easy decision for me ..i will definitely be getting the Epod model when my EV comes.

    I got my long range trophy model in October 2023 in the UK. So it came with a number of extra bits, rear wiper, and a number of other things. Also I got a zero interest deal over two years with a £10,000 deposit. Overall still very happy. Had a Nissan Leaf EV for four years before, this was the type of car Nissan should have given us. Well, I’m glad you like the vehicle, but the detail is not thorough enough, particularly info concerning the infotainment system which isn’t that bad at all, the adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, the programmable buttons on the steering wheel……No talk of range, charging rate. The charging cable you pulled out is not the one supplied by MG….they supply the three pin plug cable, or at least they did when I bought my vehicle. Price comparisons between other EVs, most notably the iD4 would also have been good to include. Afraid it went a bit downhill with the blue stitch trim….it’s not that noticeable and definitely isn’t that strong a colour!!

    very useful video, thanks, please help me, I have a Ohme 7.4kW ePod Home EV Charger Type 2 in black, which does not have an electronic display and is very standard. I have been using it for the last six months, and I didn't set up Timber, just charged manually. However, for the last few days, there has been a problem. Sometimes it turns on, and after a few seconds, it shuts down. The lighting display also shows different colors than it used to. I need to know if this is an issue with the EV Charger or the consumer unit supplying the electricity.
