The Great Ashby Gathering
Had a nice ride out with members of the Lost King SC from Barlestone to Ashby de la Zouch on Sunday 12th June for the 'Great Ashby Gathering'
This is a short compilation of clips and photos I took on the phone once we had arrived in Ashby. There must have been upwards of 200 scooters parked up in the town centre during the hour or so we were there.
I apologise for the light flare on some of the videos and photos, hadn't realised there was a little moisture on the lens, roll on the next big local meet, I'll try and up my game on the quality
Hope you enjoy

Adding Mirrors for more personalisation of my Scomadi

TL125 Bypass Plug Update
Просмотров 3342 года назад
A few people have been asking me what difference the Tasso Bypass Plug has made to the headlight, so in this short video I've refitted the original lightbox and then swapped back to the bypass plug to hopefully give an impression of the improvement with the plug fitted. Obviously the main change is that I can actually ride the scooter more than a mile and still have a headlight! It has certainl...

Finally got around to swapping out my Ocean Blue horncast for the Mint Green to match my new panels. The last time I swapped the horncast (due to the original red being damaged) it was very straight forward, however this time around the spring clips at the top had become week and just kept slipping and opening up. Scomadi retro mudflap replacement (fixing sag)
Просмотров 5162 года назад
When I purchased my Scomadi TL125 last summer it came fitted with a Scomadi mudflap but there was a little niggling issue with it. I like the look of the scooter with a mudflap as I feel it gives it more of that classic 60's Mod look I'm a sucker for, however I felt this particular flap wasn't the look I was after. It also had an issue with the flap sagging between the fixings, which although n...

    Hi m8 after 2 years of take it off put it on with my old Scomadi and a couple of others in our club The easy way is undo in any order you like but to refit its front first then rear as to line up the panel with the frame it helps a lot if you can push the rear panel forward a tad and just push the bolt right in then do the middle crew last as that is the week point and can snap the small lug of the back if not totally in like don't ask how I know 😉

      Thanks for the advice, to be honest I just think these aftermarket panels are not quite perfect, not only is it difficult to get the fixing bolts to align the indicators don't sit as flush as they do the original panels. I'm guessing that the panels produced as spairs aren't quite as well made to the tolerances required

    • @themodernscooterist
      @themodernscooterist 2 года назад

      Thanks fella, not sure if the bypass plug is suitable for the TT, as far as I'm aware it was made to suit the early TL's that were suffering with flickering / failing headlights due to the original light box. I think later TL's had a different light box and don't suffer the same issue as the earlier models, so I think the TT will probably be the same as the later TL's. It's probably best to contact Adam at TASSOPARTS.CO.UK and asking his advice.

      @@nickj3676 I didn't bypass the wires myself as I fitted the bypass plug, it seemed silly to go pulling the existing plug apart to join the wires when the Tasso plug is less than £3.00 and just plugs straight in. If you're looking at doing the wire splice without using the plug then according to Dave at Retrotech Racing you need to remove the two Blue / Black wires and join those together and then do the same with the White / Black wires.
