How easy is it to get a game for Magic the Gathering on Tabletop Simulator? I play mostly pauper.

I think it was more likely that the aether dudes got the simic pair, as they seem more calm and chill, and that the shark pirates got the izzet, as i think we've seen more izzet pirates than dimir. Great video though

I have a deck with Zyym, Mesmeric Lord as the commander & the deck tries to create situations in the game between players that mimic the George Orwell novel 1984. I use a bunch of odd enchantments that cause players to reveal their hands & the tops of their library, I play cards that can cause two players to start a feud like "Ice Cave" which says "whenever a player casts a spell, any player may pay X generic mana where X is that spells mana cost, if you do, counter that spell." & my favorite card in the deck is Zur's Weirding which is a 4 drop blue enchantment which is truly broken in my personal opinion... It says "If a player would draw a card, they instead reveal it, then any other player may pay 2 life. If any player does pay 2 life, you put that card into their owner's graveyard. Otherwise, that player draws that card." So with 40 life... you can see that not a lot of cards go into their hands. I, however have cards that can get around Zur's Weirding, such as Taigam, Sidisi's Hand... this card makes me skip my draw step & then look at the top three cards of my deck. I then can put a card into my hand & the other two into the graveyard. So while my opponents keep paying life to deny each other card draw, I am slowly building up enough resources to win the game.

It's a nice list, but I feel that Jumpstart should have just been it's own list at this point. I'd love to know what you thought of more of the critters in the base set too. Also the Pheres Band centaur is NUTS, even outside of pauper. Seen him in action once, and he goes hard.

Loved this! I would have kept Saline Conversion as it was (the do not untap thing) because I see it as a creature becoming salt so, if it moves, its legs may crumble I don't know 😅

The "Magic: the Gathering Roborosewater Cube (scripted)" mod has a pretty nifty feature where you can make booster packs out of custom cards (with rarity mattering and all)

One upside of the legendary pauper commanders is that you can play them at mixed tables - helps if, like me, you play somewhere with very few pauper players or you want to show people that it’s not necessarily going to be a dull, grindy format. That said, it is an uphill battle going up against most regular decks.

Goats are cool. Based on the title I was thinking red mountainwalkers, so it's funny to me that you didn't even mention that color.

these are still better than basic lands. something that's only a downside _if you use the upside_ isn't actually a downside, it just means the upside isn't as good the actual problem with these is that they're enchantment lands, which means they trigger eerie and get you a load of value for free, but also die to disenchants, making them obnoxiously swingy

The reminder text saying "you'll need to find another way in" is so cool. It's super flavourful while also making the intent behind the design clear. I'm reminded of how Obsidian Fireheart says that a land with a blaze counter on it "continues to burn" even if there isn't an Obsidian Fireheart on the battlefield.

I thought this was gonna be a new type of dual-land that starts with a choice between two colors/basic types, then you can unlock the second half to make it dual-type. Sort of like the Pathway lands, where you can choose which color you play it as, but with the upside that you can eventually unlock the second color

thinking about this, I'd prefer the lands had a sacrifice unless you pay this additional cost on enters, and both having sides having an activated ability to fully unlock the room so maybe a land makes you pay 2 generic mana as it enters, or simply enters tapped unless unlocked, and the other side having pay 3 generic and discard a card when enters. but has a passive of adding an additional mana when the other room taps for mana, and an activated ability

Honestly I quite like when they play fast and loose with subtypes. There should be some standardization to enable type synergies, but I think its totally fine for some subtypes to only have a few members.

Technically the non-acorn cards from Unfinity are technically their own weird non-Un thing- Though types being reused in two black bordered sets does kind of mean it might become a prevalent type. Now if we finally got Chickenfolk-

from what I'm seeing searching on scryfall glimmer is an enchantment type not a creature type, similar to how the neon dynasty shrine creatures have shrine as an enchantment type but not a creature type

Hey, really solid video! I'd love to see a Yoshimaru card like this. Seems a bit stacked for a single white pip, but the best boy deserves a solid reprint in the first place.

The wombat's true competition is Corpsejack Menace. I haven't found a Golgari +1/+1 counters commander that slaps as hard.

Love this! I'm a big fan of cycles and these Duos in particular have caught my attention in particular in how cleanly they tie two archetypes together while being just commons! Thanks for expanding on it

poisonous and toxic are both keywords, the first from future sight and the second for all will be one. poisonous applies poison counters as a trigger, while toxic does them as part of the damage. i assume they chose the older more wordy one as a joke
