    Sir, kindly you tell me how we'll determine the ships position at high seas if gps not working and sky is fully covered by clouds no we can't able to see celestial bodies.

      If that will happen ... you are in a bad scenario ... but you can make use other available sources ... like data of the last known position ... speed and direction of current and wind ... knowing your course and heading ... communication to other vessels if sighted any ...
