@@JoeHarkinsHimself Well I was speaking of Shag specifically, in the words of the people I learned from. I would say it's not "all" about the feet in Shag, but mostly. I was lucky to have Sam West as my teacher. He is the winningest Shag champion of all time and taught me almost everything I know about dancing. Check him out on RUclips! I know you will enjoy his dancing.

Thank you for your comment, however this is the Carolina Shag. Carolina Shag is the state dance of South Carolina. The state bill was introduced in 1984 by representative "Bubber" Snow, and signed by governor Dick Riley. The General Assembly by Act No. 329, 1984, designated the Shag as the official dance of the State.

It's definitely a dance from the South.
