Travelling Outback Tracks
Австралия
Добавлен 9 сен 2012
We've been travelling around Australia with our caravan for several years now, travelling well in excess of 200,000 kilometres. You could describe us as "Gray Nomads". We are old enough certainly but we seek more than just a pleasant place in the sun. We are searching for birds, looking for great scenery to photograph and sketch. We look forward to the peace and serenity of the outback and the magnificent countryside of this great continent of Australia.
Video production will add a new dimension to our travels and allow us to share more of trips.
Come with us on our journeys throughout Australia.

Then it's south to Mataranka and the delights of the Hot Pools at the Homestead in Elsey National Park. We make our way east to Cape Crawford where we meet up with friends. One of the party gets bogged in south sand at the Southern Lost City before we make our way to peaceful Butterfly Falls for the night.
After returning to Cape Crawford we travel on rough sealed roads to the delightful but busy Barkly Homestead. #outback #northernterritory #hotpools #lostcity

Another good video David and Noelene. Keep it going.
Thank you for the videos and good to know that you are travelling again. We particularly enjoyed the Darwin episode - the city looks very different to when we were there just after the cyclone - as the photos from the Museum testify!
Another great video. Spectacular scenery and photography. Thanks, David and Noelene.
Another good video Noelene and David. It brought back memories of swimming with the fresh water crocks at Wangai falls and scores of black fish at Florence falls.
The two Bs enjoyed Episode 6 and are looking forward to Episode 7.
Thanks for posting, David and Noelene. What a great trip with wonderful photography. We both watched it just now. XXX000
You have done it again David another beautiful story, "Katherine Gorge" your commentary and the filming of the scenery just excellent, thankyou ,,,,,John S,
Hi Noeiene and David, Another good video. We did the Katherine Gorge as part of our Ghan trip in 2017.
Dear Dave & Noelene Another interesting video. Unlike you, my son and I, only had a cursory look at the Devil’s Marbles, which I viewed geologically. Yes, the grey nomads are always on the move. Appreciating a location requires a period of stillness. I recall kayaking a section of Katherine Gorge and having a a short swim, the freshwater crocs notwithstanding. Warm regards from B&B
Bravo D&N A journey for the ages.. Cheers S&P
Another great video. Spectacular scenery
Another great video. Well done David & Noelene. Spectacular scenery.
So happy to hear you talk of how nice Alice springs is ,Totally the opposite of what right wing media are portraying it as, a place out of control ,great Vid
We do like Alice Springs and definitely think that the media has a lot to answer for. The problems are not unique to that area.
Hello Dave and Noelene Wonderful to share your Red Centre adventures. But not with the flies! Regards from B&B
What’s wrong with the flies. I just wish that they would annoy someone else, like N
Good one Nolene and David. Beautiful country, Keep posting.
Thanks Sam.
Lots of beautiful memories came up while watching your lovely video. It was one of my favoured cycling areas all over the country!
N and I are. Glad that you enjoyed the video, Helga. Best wishes, NandD
thank you for sharing the beautifull moments
Thank you for your comments. It is appreciated.
Another good video, David. Great filming despite the billions of flies.
Thanks for your thoughts. Flies are wonderful aren’t they.
Thank you, David and Noelene. Excellent, even without the canapes. K-H
Glad you enjoyed it, Karl-Heinz. It is a very special place in spite of all the visitors.
Great video. How long is the drive from Marree to Coober Pedy? We are hoping to go up there in December
Well, I suppose it depends on how fast you like driving on roads that can be rough sometimes with wash aways that can catch you out. There’s a lot to see between Marree and William Creek. I normally takes a day to do it with all the stops. From William Creek to Coober Pedy, there are fewer stops of interest. Depending on the road conditions, it takes us four or five hours.
Thanks David and Noelene for sharing your adventures once again! And the overview of the deserts, the spinifex, the flies, the sunsets, the water holes, the iconic desert oaks certainly give a good feel of the great Aussie outback…
Thanks for the comments Julie. We appreciate it.
Another excellent outback video from David and Noelene
Thanks for the comments Bob. It is appreciated.
Another good one David and Nolene. When we were at Uluru years ago it was still ok to climb it. But my left knee told me NO WAY, I would have had to come down backwards. Michael and I went a little way past chicken rock then came back down. Some beautiful country out there, keep up the good work.
Thanks, Sam. Glad that you enjoyed the video. In spite of the large numbers of tourists, it is a very special place.
Thanks for posting, David and Noelene. Took us back 10 years to our visit to the area of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon with Pam's brother, Rob, and his wife, Julia.
Thanks for the comment,Rod. It is a wonderful place. We, (I), are thinking about heading to Far North Queensland next year, so we hope to see you on our way back.
Beautiful scenery and photography. Wilpena pound also had a bush ranger heritage as that is where Captain Starlight and the Marsden brothers used to hide their stolen cattle.
Thank you for your video. As a teenager i worked in the general store in Hawker and rented the old Hawker Railway station which i can see now is a resturant. The station then was owned by the rifle club. I played cricket for the town of Hawker. I also enjoyed my time there such a beautiful part of Australia.
That maze was amazing.
We don’t know why we haven’t see or heard of it before. Maybe it’s new.
Interesting. Informative. Each country has their own history. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment.every village, town and country has some interesting story to tell. That’s one of the great things about travel.
Thanks again D&N - The flies and the corrugations were an inconvenience. The churches in Coober Pedy humanised a forbidding environment. The keg grave marker displayed the sense of humour essential to survival. Regards from your friends B&B
Thanks Bob. We’re happy that you enjoyed it. I wonder if the beer keg was full when it was taken to the cemetery.
Good one Nolene and David, love thoe old ruins. We have been through a few old cemetaries. They can be very interesting.
Thanks Sam. Old cemeteries are good places to get a feel on how hard life was in places in years gone by.
Amazing video , enjoyed watching this fantastic video
We are pleased that you enjoyed the video. It makes all the difference effort put into making them worthwhile.
🤗🤗🤗
Great that you enjoyed the video.
Another lovely and interesting video from David and Noelene. Thanks.
Thank you.
Enjoyed wonderful video. Fantastic scenery. Beautiful photography. I like the elegant way Noelene opens gates. (Additional comment from K-H).
Noelene has had lots of practice in opening gates. It’s the price she pays for always being a passenger.
Hi David and Noeleen, it's good that you're back. Enjoyed your vidio and loved the music. If you're coming east don't forget where we live. Keep up the good work, although it doesn't seem much like work.
Thanks for the comment Sam. It’s surprisingly hard work and time consuming putting the videos together, particularly if you care about the quality of the images, the sound, etc.
Absolutely beautiful and so nice to watch. I waited all day to watch your video after dinner with 2 fingers of single malt ........ so relaxing. Thank you
Great. You are obviously someone with taste. What whisky did you have?
@@magfoss1 Teeling Single Malt (Dublin) you should try it.
Thanks my friends - Enjoyed your outback video - Regards from B&B
Thanks for watching! Glad that you enjoyed it, Bob.
Wow ! Wonderful and lovely presented and great photography. Can't wait to get there next year and I am already planning everything.
Arkaroola is a wonderful place. We are certain that you will enjoy going there.
Thank you for the little travelogue of Moonta. I spent 6 very happy years growing up there in the 1960s/early 1970s and (when it is not so windy) Moonta Bay is the place I now go in 2024 for a slice of serenity (and Cornish pasty). 😊
I ran road trains up to Leigh Creek from Newcastle in the 1990's........great to see the places that were listed on road signs along the main highway, and what was "over the range" visible from cab of a Kenworth. Yes, the mornings are cold in winter, but the days are spectacular and sunny.
Fantastic video, thanks for posting
Glad that you enjoyed it. We hope to have a new series coming soon on our trip to Darwin and western Queensland and New South Wales.
I drove with my girlfriend to Hawker and the Flinders 40 years ago It was a great experience , first time in a plane ( Scenic flight) scary lol diving a v8 Holden HQ , best time ever 👍
Things have changed a lot since those days. The vehicles are bigger and the caravans are huge. We are pleased that you enjoyed our little video.
David and Noelene your videos are superb! We enjoy them so much. Your photography is exceptional and we love the classy music accompanying the videos, especially the classical recordings. The result is a classy travel experience. Love the birds and wildflowers too. Keep up the great work. We always wish we could meet you, but so far we are only armchair travellers. You two have inspired us to be more!
Thank you for your very kind comments on our small travel videos. We enjoy our travelling and enjoy sharing them with you. We are at Trephina Gorge in the East MacDonnell Ranges as part of a long trip to Darwin and then east to Queensland. Where we go, we don’t know but there are lots of roads to follow and lots of places to visit.
A fantastic group of people
Awesome adventures 😎
Glad that you like our little trips.

Dave and I loved the video - beautiful shots and we are envious of all the space (and the oysters!)
Your nice quality video and sound recording continues.... IMO this IS the strength of your work. Nice local atmospheric sounds were good. Short to the point words on location with the considered "dubbed in"commentary added later works. PaulA
