I just got one of these. Its almost the perfect edc knife imo. My only 2 complaints are the price and the factory edge was not very uniform. After some elbow grease on the worksharp its perfect for me.

Use the hell putta mine. Rex45 is my fav steel.

Have you had any problems with chipping/microchipping? I've noticed a few on mine after cutting through some thick weeds and I'm wondering if I just hadn't noticed them before of it cutting the weed caused the problems.

Apple cider vinegar is my go to. Put it in a small up and put the blade tip down in it up to the area that’s covered by the scales. Pull it out every 15 minutes and check for how dark you want it to be. It’s always uniform and smooth feeling if that’s the look you want.

Never handled one, but wouldn't it be more of a "smaller Endura" since it uses the same blade stock thickness of the Endura?

I have a dragonfly with zdp 189. I used to love it. it was my EDC for 3 years. I thought I lost it once til I found it in the washer machine. It rust easy. Really brittle (broken tip) A bitch to sharpen. If you don't know how to sharpen zdp189 10 out of 10 you will get micro saw edge. It takes on a bitching polish. Best mirror polish steel imho

As much as I like the police or military they're both a little bit too big as a EDC for me. Plus for some reason I look at serrated edges like assisted openings, they're both not for me. I will say the SpyderEdge is better than a normal serrated edge though.

That's one of the better looking Case models that I've seen. The spongy half stops have always bothered me. This one looks nice and crisp.

Have you tried knafsale/bladebinge for selling? Terribly buggy and zero-feature website aside, i have nothing but great experiences so far after a half dozen or so sales and a couple dozen trades. I use two totes to store my boxes in. One for my "never" sells, and one for all the rest. This is a much better idea, though.

Ive tried to like this knife a few different times. I just can't do the weird washerless action. Im also not a huge fan of Spyderco's ZDP, especially after some of the examples from other brands that ive been using lately. I love the CF on it, though. Probably my favorite CF that Spyderco has used. I just got a ti/cf S90V Military. Pretty impressed, so far. I wasnt expecting to like it so much more than the fluted ti one i had before. The cqi changes make more kf a difference than i thought they would. Edit: no. Thats crazy. The Mamba is definitely my favorite CF.

What are your thoughts on the new OTF that MT showed recently? It looks to be a fairly interesting Deadlock competitor. I've been using 3 different knives, lately. An S110V Eagle Rock, titanium Atom and SE k390 Endura. The Atom is full of microchipping after nothing harder than cutting Brussels sprouts on a cutting board. Pretty disappointing. The ER and Endura are great, though.

Ive been trying to streamline my collection lately, but the market being what it is has made it pretty difficult. Ive picked up a ton of stuff at half what they were going for a couple years ago.
