Original Math Rock Riff in DAEAC#E
Просмотров 6 тыс.4 года назад
This is an original math rock riff I wrote some time ago. The tuning used is DAEAC#E, the tuning used by tiny moving parts and other math and midwest emo bands (Sleepydog also made a video about this tuning). Various time signatures were used for this piece, if you you want to know more, ask me! I used a telecaster classic player, a marshall amp and a RODE NT usb to record this.

A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall Guitar Cover

This is a cover of a cover! Bill Frisell actually made this version, you can hear it here on youtube in the Fretboard Journal channel. I really love this version way more than the original (still a Bob Dylan fan tho), I tried to express my emotions into it and make it a bit more mine, but it's difficult considering it's Mr. Frisell work we're talking about. I used my classic player telecaster c...

This is a fingerstyle cover of Zelda's Lullaby from Ocarina of time. The tuning used is DAEAC#E, with capo on the 3rd fret. My guitar is a telecaster classic player, and I used a Rode NT usb to record it from a Marshall amp.
A Thousand Miles Guitar Cover

A thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton fingerstyle guitar cover. I used an alternate tuning for this instrumental cover (DAEAC#E). I got inspired from math rock fingerstyle guitar to make this out. DAEAC#E is a tuning used by many midwest emo and math rock bands, like Tiny Moving Parts (Sleepy dog also talks about this tuning a lot).

This is a reharmonized cover of the AC/DC'S famous tune. Using simple substitutions, chromaticism and non-diatonic chords, i turned ACDC'S Thundestruck into a completely different song! Let me know what you think about this reharmonization! ACDC - Thunderstruck Piano Cover

Is that a squier and if it is what model?
It's a mexican fender! The model is classic player
amazing! you should try playing it on acoustic. it would sound awesome
Vaseduva vibes from this! Great riff
I don't know him, I will check it out :)
It's pretty.
_And I threw you the obvious...._
Most of this song can be divided into 4/4. Only the 3/4 section is a necessary time signature change. The only other reason you would change the time signature is so the drummer knows what beats to accent to bring out the riff. Aside from that there's little reason for most of the time signature changes.
I haven't noticed till now lol it's true! Maybe i did it unconsciously
@@sergiogalicimusic9078 it can be handy to make it easier to stay in time, but I personally think it's easier to keep time in 4/4 and use tuplets when I'm using weird rhythms. It mainly comes down to preference, but that's how I feel about it.
your awesome dude
6/8 6/8 6/8 then 5/8
yep!
Never could have guess that. I need more practice!
