7 months later you cant really find the majority of stacktech at lowrs
Hey Man, any update on how the Toughbuilt Stacktech is still holding up for you? And more importantly whats going on in your opinion about their future? Have you been able to aquire any more of their stuff? After researching and getting great info on them from quality vids like yours, I pulled the trigger and bought all three boxes available, the crate, the deep organizer, and the wood top. It was quite a move for me since im heavily invested in Dewalt and have a lot of both of their Toughsystem 1.0 and 2.0 boxes. However Toughbuilt excited me with all their fearures and possible future options like their transporter dolly.
Yes I'm working on an update video. I have really enjoyed the boxes. I plan on talking about durability, use and the future of the company.
When peeling stickers, always pull at a 90 degree angle to the surface and a bit slower, and you'll be all good
Any follow up half a year later?
I'm still super happy with what I have. Still waiting for the "new" boxes to come out to get my set up complete. I'd be happy to do a 6 month owner review.
@@carlsonandco will definitely watch that when you do, thanks for the follow up I appreciate it. I think the "new" stuff when it does finally drop us gonna be awesome but even the pouches lately having supply problems does worry me alittle. Wonder what the heck is going on with them
Can’t lock the TB drawers. I’m going with Milwaukee.
I like that the crate has a holes on the sides because I can put a surge to charge my batteries
Wd 40 worked best for me
Wax and grease remover. You're welcome.
stack tech table tops going on two columns and dolly/carts
Ok, I had to comment. I play SC and love my Tough built set. I do not have the cooler, but own everything else you've shown in multiples. I think it's the best storage system even if t's options don't rival Milwaukee yet.
"To show dominance." Lol nice.🤘
Diggning your video. Thought I would be getting the packout system stuff for a camp kitchen chuckbox but after seeing your reviews and a couple other the Stackout system is the way to go. That shop you have there is pretty nice as well.
Can’t lock the drawers. A no for me. I wanted to like but just can’t.
I believe the stocking issue is because Lowes has a 6 month contract to be the sole supplier for their initial release. That may be a rumour so take that with a pinch of salt. Out here in the UK we're waiting in suspense for release date.. All we have is a few utility knives, saw horses and the cliptech system
I am changing from Packout to StackTech after seeing whats coming this year... FINALLY a bottom rolling box that is a FULL SINGLE DRAWER!!! Bye Bye Packout!
Can’t lock em. A no for me as I really wanted to like.
@@_ready__there is a lockhole on side
Yeah super cool set up all the boxes on the cart with a miter saw on top and you can’t get in the boxes. 😂
They need a snap on cat crate ;)
Can anyone please let me know if the logos are easily removed? Would the yellow parts also be easily painted? I would like to repaint and use these as props, if anyone knows if it's possible please let me know.
Bro. It’s called Goo Gone. Or Goof Off if the sticker residue is really stubborn. Not rocket science. But thanks for the review, I want it now!
🇺🇸👨🏽🦳😃🫵🏽 … Dude ! 😃 Oh yeah 👍🏽 ! TOUGHBUILT , does have Two types of First Aid 🩹 kits , and they are out already , both of them are “ Red “ , in color and pre-stocked too ! 😃 .. Look for one of those folded up advertisements that comes with one of those big boxes . They list a lot of new accessories that in the pipeline to make it to the store shelves , pretty soon … 👍🏽👍🏽😃👨🏽🦳🇺🇸…( I’ve seen’em .. 🤭 )
Theyre coming out with a bottom rolling box that has a drawer instead of a lid. To me that automatically makes this the best. The ability to have all your bottom ones open from the front instead of the top means you can minimize the game of musical boxes you need to play in order to get the bottom stuff out. I really like the idea of your tools just following you around while they stay stacked up. Im honestly most curious about their powered accessories, how they will work, if toughbuilt will have battery packs ect? Are we looking at the start of a toughbuilt powertool brand, and its just their boxes came first? 2025 is going to be a very interesting year for toolboxes as stacktech rolls out and fills their lineup. What kind of new products and refreshes will we see from packout? Will other brands step up their game, like dewalt, ridged, flex, and klein. Will we see advancements from the entry brands like ryobi, kobalt, husky and craftsman?
Yes! I have my eye on those big single drawers.
Stacktech is great, however, you just can't get the stuff anywhere. I think they're tied to Lowes, and very few of the Lowes in my area have anything except for the most basic stuff, and most stores have literally nothing. May be worth looking at in another year or so. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, as the saying goes...
Big R carries bags and belts here (NM) but not boxes.
ruclips.net/user/shortsEd7deRuchgM?si=McasHntzgYDFPG_1
Employee at Lowe’s told me today they are gonna get rid of all Toughbuilt products in the near future .
Don't switch to pack out yet, wait until next year. The kind of logistics and manufacturing they're dealing with are crazy AF. Im a painter and can't wait to get my hands on the box fan.
Get the dolly where these stack into. It’s great quality and super useful! Also the larger cooler is great also. It kept ice for a whole week. I got the trailer hitch mount also but haven’t installed it yet.
Thanks, people have asked me how long the cooler stays cold. Good to know still waiting on my dolly.
i am contractor too...i clean my tools almost everyday after use... your tool boxes so so so clean like brandnew... how you keep them so clean...no any kind of dust at all...no tools in your boxes...u said u throwing them around......i was hoping for honest review...sad...
Those boxes have been at the job site, in the back of the truck and in the rain. I don't understand your comment thanks for noticing I try to keep my things clean. I was also trying different tool options for hand tools we got it dialed now.
Can you show cooling test for the cooler box. How many days can it maintain cool?
Yeah I can do that I'll use some ice the cold pack addition I don't think is enough to get past lunch. I'll pack it like a yeti
Does the stack come with a cat?
Cats sold separately.
I'm thinking about geting a set of these tool box lowadout boxes and just seeing if they fit on my stair climbing hand truck
They should and just strap them on.
Lowes near me had them on clearance a few weeks ago. Probably not a good sign for long-term building the kit you want or end up needing
It may be the old toughbuilt stuff they are clearancing everthing made before stacktech and replacing with new products with the same new brand look.
Pretty sure they were clearing out holiday stock in stores that aren’t carrying these boxes year round. Klein, Flex, Craftsman, and Kobalt boxes have also been on clearance the past few weeks at seemingly random Lowe’s stores.
none of that stuff has been used.. This is FAKE.. Way to many moving parts.. Locking mech and latching system will fail.. cost is the same or more than Packout.. Why would anyone buy this stuff...
We have 100% been using them since the first video, but they are not fully implemented into work being we are missing product from Toughbuilt. These are a great alternative to Packout, the locking mech it simple but good point only time will tell. I do thin these will be the industry favorite, second to packout only to Plumbers and Electricians.
@@carlsonandco Everybody is different, BUT your shop looks more like a set to make videos. I know of no shop that doesn't get dust build-up. not a single knick or scratch on the boxes and the organizer (just one) is empty, most people would have several and all would be full. I watched a few videos and they all seem very scripted with the exact same over-all message.. I left similar comments on each, and every reply was nice.. That's just not the real world.. The only way something will compete with Milwaukee is to be half the price.. Milwaukee spends a lot of time on conctruction sites reserching,, All other companies spend a little time researching Milwaukee..
@twistedhillbilly6157 I'm a gc it's more of a storage shop. Buts thanks we take pride in keeping it clean!
@@carlsonandco Have you ever made a video of a toughy tool in action at an actual jobsite that WASN'T Staged?? I have never seen a single toughy tool on a jobsite. And I have never seen a single toughy truck or rep anywhere. I DO see RED all the time on sites and in stores.. . Anyone that would pay Packout prices for backyard/homeowner gimmick tools or knitting room yarn storage might be a little off kilter.. The fact that they are only sold at Lowes garden and wallpaper center isn't going to help it survive either.. Let me know if you ever post an actual NOT STAGED video of a toughy tool being used on a site.. Since you are the General,, there should be no problem....

Thanks for the honest review. I've been using Ridgid crates for 6 yrs, they are more narrow and longer..and fit perfect behind center console. 2 people can still sit either side, and you can have a trashcan, jumper cables, snacks, duct tape zip ties etc. Country boy readiness. Ridgid latching sucks like every other system with side latches. I've run and modified packout for 4 years installing cabinets and also use for mechanical etc. Cons. They are not modular, some are wider and organizers have fixed handles that stick out. Cooler is POS and will not hold ice in the summer. The hand truck is also a plastic POS and needs the wheels moved out board so it doesn't tip over. But it holds levels, brooms and other long gear behind the handle. Lids and anything black gets to hot to handle in Ga,probably why cooler doesn't work. Lid in 30 minutes of sun in December was 154°. Double latches . Pro I own 40 boxes, and would be dumb to change. Latching tabs are easy to 3d print to hang modify and adapt. 1 hand continuous motion to unlatch/unstack. Multiple organizers in 3 heights, and 2 widths that can be stacked anywhere in/above/below a stack. The PO "cabinet" and Klein's (or one of the other brands has a deep drawer) are the only box with front access to a circular saw without unstacking. I like the modularity and transport options (allegedly coming)of ST. Wide drawers.. but too shallow of Dewalt. 3 drawer rolling boxes from several brands. Packout latching, easy 3d adapters, and quantity of organizers. Unfortunately the engineering on functionality is poor on them all. Multiple tool brands can share bits and blades, but continuity does in a storage system. system
I've seen the ridgid boxes they looked nice not super familiar with them thanks I'll check those out.
The other thing to worry about is longevity of toughbuilt. Their stock has dropped 75% in the past 3 months and they sold 3 million worth of stock to raise capital… I mean any company could belly up, but it’s not looking good for toughbuilt…😮
This is true but also look at their product this company has been around making tools no one cared about. All tools and stacktech is all new for this company that was going belly up. My personal opinion is the raised capital is to pay for manufacturing and development but pure opinion they certainly haven't made any money in a long time if ever.
I really wanted to love these but the weight is an issue. The 3 drawer tool chest is 8 lbs heavier than Packout totally empty. Also the compact thin organizers pop open. The scarcity is also a big issue. They look so much cooler than Packout though, and the latching mechanism is great. They're def overbuilt and feel bombproof.
I can test those questions for us, and honestly, they are heavy but not so much that I really notice. And being just released internationally, they will catch up on supply. I was looking at the small organizers. I'll see if i can pop one open.
So about the stickers. Leave them on for a bit. Ive found after they age a little. They peel off perfectly.
Hmm I'll try that on my next set coming in. Thanks!
i found that if you know how to peel stickers, they come off just fine.
I can hardly wait for the full drawer lineup to be released this summer
Yeah I'd love the got the truck and shop set up like they have photos on the website.
@@carlsonandco I plan on setting up my trailer with the toughbuilt shop setup when it's released
So long as the company doesn't go bankrupt
I think your pretty spot on with your assessment of the StackTech system. Im seriously looking at these boxes as an upgrade from my Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0 but want to wait a bit to see if the dolly will be coming out as it is a huge selling point for me. Ive kinda already adopted a convertible dolly for my Dewalt boxes to work similarly so I know how excellent a dolly system like that can work. One thing ive seen a few others discuss and have personally tested at Lowes is that you can actually get into a box thats got another box on top without unstacking. It is a little fiddly but not too bad. You just have to unlock the above box, tilt it back just a bit so you can unlatch the box lid latch that you want to get into, then set the above box back down and it will lock back in, you can then tilt open the lid of the box your wanting to get into and grab what you need out of it, the above box will say attached, then once you close the box lid you just do the same process again to relatch the lid latch.
Yes I believe the hassle is worth the product you get. I do believe this is the best option on the market can't wait to get the dolly.
I upgraded from ToughSystem 1.0 to 2.0, then later Flex StackPack
@christophercrawford2736 yeah flex makes a good set up
I am slowly converting from Ridged kit and I bought the dolly and man it is next level when it comes to moving your kit around. The dolly and their transport system is the main reason I have moved over. The one thing I do not like is their shelving kit which is nice, but you cannot stack the second shelf due to the height of the half boxes.
@bonezj117 still waiting for mine to arrive but one of the main reasons I chose stacktech!
Tough built is coming out with a med kit this summer
That's great would be nice to have one integrated
Of all things to complain about….stickers not completely coming off 😂😂😂 If that’s a ‘no go’ for buying a product I wouldn’t hire that ‘tradesman’
Annoying as it may be the product is worth the extra minute.
@@carlsonandco put a heat gun to the sticker next time you need to remove one :)
The message I received was that tradesman is a stickler for details and for their stuff looking good. Tim in northern TN
@@CliffsideStablesyes, for 3 days it looks pretty with no sticker residue
You would be the only contactor that i know that lowes will do that for. Ive gotten where i dont wanna do business with them anymore
I've been doing business with a contractor account for about 9 years. They have a 1 year return policy for pros. I'm also in North Idaho I would think that policy is nation wide.
Where online can you purchase any of it, besides lowes and acme and amazon?
That looks to be the trusted sources. I think you'll see the product start spreading Ace hardware, local and national tools suppliers.
@carlsonandco in the westcoast, there isn't much stuff to get right now. The closest states to get the hand truck, for example, are in Arizona and Washington.
Yes, I think we'll see them start filling the gaps this summer. I'm in North Idaho seems to be just the basics out here. I'll see if I can't source some stuff from Washington good point!@@icmonstahs
Stacktech has one flaw that is almost non- negotiable for any tradesman. The drawers do not lock. I will dig for my tools that I keep than wonder wear my tools went, cest'a vive. That said, I bought them. The track rails are more user friendly if you have a 3d printer. I made my own level and pry bar holders.
That's a great point. The other boxes have lock points, but not the drawers. I bet they could figure it out.
It may show how much they are actually selling over expectation. I would rather wait, than get rushed , defective production.
@renurenovationsllc7780 Thier also doing an international roll out so yes very possible
@glennvandrese9298 I'd agree thats kind of a big flaw considering how easy it seems have been able to develop a solution. Especially when the locking box/drawer argument is for the keeping honest people honest lol. So it wouldn't need to be anything super substantial. I do wonder what percentage of folks out there are locking there individual boxes. I know there are applications for it but personally my boxes aren't ever left anywhere where I need to individually lock them. If they need to be theft protected, the whole system is locked in a trailer, truck, or secure storage room.
Right that's something to think about but I don't lock my boxes they are secured overnight.@@duncdunc76
$150 if the wife is watching. You need to make a video with fake prices so that my wife can approve of me getting a few. 😂😂😂
don’t watch it with your wife.

My stickers came right off // I have an idea for Toughbuilt and it would boost up their sales
What are we thinking? One of their major battles at least in North Idaho is getting product. I'm still waiting on tools and some stacktech product I ordered over a month ago.
Neat trick, the extension cord holders will hold your folding ladders too. Fold them vertically and they’ll hook into the small rails securely!
Nice I'll give it a try!
Gotta use a blowdryer on those stickers! IM thinking on changing to these from packout
Most of them came off fairly east and a little goo gone for the glue left behind!
I dont even get why companies still put stickers on them, does anyone actually like it
It's looks good on display? Seriously just zip tie a tag on!
The weight!!! how could you not mention how heavy they are
Follow up review coming soon!

I really do enjoy these boxes!
Husky Connect 22 is better to carry up down. They also are easier to work out of while stacked with the drawer and canteliver units. The build could be a but better. When your in and out of multi-unit buildings for work , portability counts. These are BULKY...,
These are bulky but I think in a good way. I'm working on a follow up / comparison video. One big problem so far is getting the tough built product I still don't have everything I ordered.
Класс такую же систему заказать планирую, но в России почему-то нет пока выдвежных ящиков, надеюсь скоро появятся
