My childhood dog, Jack, is being put down tomorrow, I wish I spent more time with him, I wish I played with him more, I wish I spent more nights sleeping on the couch with him. Now his legs don't work, and the appointment is tomorrow, he's still the lively, happy, jump around puppy he was when we got him, but there's nothing I can do to help him. There's nothing I can do to get more time with him. Everything has to end but why? Why does his story have to have an ending, can't we just put a happily ever after? What would be so wrong with that? I think I might just not get home from the vet tomorrow, I love my life, I love my family, and I love my puppy Jack.
