I had to resort to Plop Boot manager on a Compaq Presario but now the system starts typing garbled text and keypresses don't work, what's worse plop manager has written itself to the BIOS and doesn't let me access bios setup to restore defaults, boot from lan or other options. Be forewarned Plop Boot manager is creepy! Anyone who knows how to uninstall Plop Boot manager and return to pristine BIOS?

I know this is an old video, but I just found it since I'm also planning on doing the same for my old broken laptop screen. I'm also from PH but have seen lots of repurposed screens from taobao and CN bilibili. If you ever decide on making a better frame/case for your screen, you can probably buy acrylic panels online or at hardware stores/craft stores. It's less intimidating, and you only need glue to fix everything together.

The only real way to keep the High Sierra going is to download old version of software that you need that were supported by High Sierra. For example, aks ChatGPT what was the latest version of Word that was supported by High Sierra and then try to find it on google, all mac world, or torrent it.

I use ubuntu, and today I faced the same battery issue. I reset a firmware in BMS battery. All works as a new. But some laptops have counter on a board. If some period appears, they shut down in silent. Optionally after warranty date.

I think you should try Fyde OS on it, its the same as chrome OS flex but it adds android apps support, although I couldnt get the android apps to work, but maybe itll work for you

I used an windows 8 that my dad bought in 2014 and and a couple years later it was abandoned in the shelf so I decided to upgrade it and it totally works fine it runs games and RUclips and anything than my new computer but unfortunately the screen went black on the windows 8 and we had to throw it away. It was such an experience.

I would LOVE to have that old Ho laptop, it brings back soo many memories. It was my first laptop, exactly like that one. Sadly my laptop got stolen and it was in mint condition 😢 So I would love to have one identical to my old one.

What i like to do is get old computers to become remote desktop workstations, so u can connect to a pc with good hardware and old computer is a screen for u to use.

to activate linux , go to bios then configuration and enable intel vitualization , save and restart , go to chromeOS settings /developers and you can now enable the LInux development option
