first session, rain stopped 1 hour before, the track is very slipery, just warming up

0:00 outlap 1:30 first24lap 3:30 spinoff 3rd VIMC day this year and finally got into 1:24s but at what price lol Got excited after breaking PB on first hotlap, and definitely overdrive the car, and couldn’t catch the slide and went off. After the spinoff, I soften the rear damping and adjusted my driving. Got consistent low to mid 1:24s in the afternoon sessions. The lap in video was a 1:24.67,...

Full throttle out of the corner sometimes may not be the brightest idea. I couldn’t even feel the sliding(rear too stiff, weight transfer too sudden?) and couldn’t react fast enough to catch it, skill issue. I thought I was gonna flip the car. Luckily just some minor scratches on the wheels, may need an alignment check later

This is the first time in my 6 years of tracking I got upset. This M5 was driving aggressively, not pointing by all morning. This is the second-last session of the day. did 2 1:58 laps in the afternoon top one was using 4th gear T2-T4 bottom one was using 3rd up T2 but ended up getting exact same laptime Need to be more consistent on braking More time to Catch! First time with BRZ at the Ridge, so anytime is a new PB lol. This was my 3rd session with BRZ at the ridge, chasing down my friends' FK8. Still figuring out racing line/braking points. Happy to finally get a clean lap. Used 3rd gear after T2, but i think it may actually be better to stay in 4th?(I have another exact same time lap later with staying in 4th) Fun car Fun track Friends = Good time...

First Mission trackday in 2 years, hosted by Overdrive can confirm the hipermaxR is too stiff for this track. didn't try to timeattack, too busy avoiding dips and cracks on the pavement. last session of that day, car is really fun, lots to learn with rwd and need to get used to the car. best time of the day was high 1:29, this session was about 1:30-1:32s stock with Pmu club racer pads and alignment

You think that tomei oil baffle is going to save you? No exhaust on this ?
I think it's a better design than the single plate baffles. It ]helps a little, but no way it's preventing any oil pressure drops. Exhaust is Cleib 70mm catback
@@og.takumi Okay I was going to say...there is no known baffle at this point in time that eliminates the oil drop. My 23 brz I never plan on tracking so Im not worried. Im thinking about slapping on a borla type-s until the warranty is up then go uel.

Just curious, what made you choose BRZ over GR86?
availability and price tbh. I actually ordered gr86 first, however no news in 6 months. The handling might be a bit different between these 2, deepdown they are the same. Also, 86 is about 2-3k CAD more than BRZ(top trim)

Tons of history? Are you kidding? They won in Le Mans and a few rally races with ford escorts. How many yrs was gone by till they created that car? Eighty? Or more than a hundred? Com on man volume doesn’t count in designing a car and keep it successful. All Europien carmakers are yrs ahead of US cars in design, style, and environment safety.

Ya you let off the gas/tapped the gas pedal during a turn. It made the car jerk the rear end to the left. Snap Oversteer
I was trying to keep the same input, maybe I tapped the gas without knowing lol
Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that is snap understeer
I think you meant snap "oversteer." Understeer is when the car barely turns, and it just goes straight
