Im currently employed by Rite Aid. Yes they filed bankruptcy but they did an entire company rebuild and now the stores are doing better than ever. Especially here in PA in my area. We lost a few but thankfully, not all of them.

Ct looks like a depressed hell hole.

I was a shift supervisor and pharmacy technician at this Rite Aid location. They shut it down back in 2022 and I wasn’t surprised at all. Lots and lots of stealing from the locals and it seemed many customers took issue with the pharmacy, which was the main part of the business. They later closed the Rite Aid locations in nearby Stroudsburg and Marshalls Creek, so now there are no Rite Aids in the East Stroudsburg vicinity.

Finally a new abandoned Burlington after a 1 year wait

This old building is 2 floors. Burlington wanted less space so they relocated to Toys R Us.

I was there early in the week. The move actually worked out well for them. The only sad part is the old location probably gets demolished, erasing all traces of the Wayne Hills Mall, which I miss dearly.

The Burlington store near me is really so they split it up with the big part turning into a Hobby lobby and next-door is gonna be a more modern Burlington

I Remembered Going To That Walmart When I Was Little. This Entire Shopping Center Is Now A Coda Logistics and Distribution As Of Today.

My mom told me that her father used to take her and my uncle (her brother) there during the Summer, when they were heading on their way to the Kutsher's hotel. It's sad to know that this place is dead.

That whole site used to be the old mall. Walmart was built there. I worked LP in that stop and shop for years. That store number was #675. Crazy to see it that way.

Grew up in the area, shame no one took it over. I think the bldg next door was a volunteer FD. I guess the closing and discounts aren't an obvious enough clue as to why there are party decorations, for this guy.

Big Lots is closing due to inflation and expired food in most of their locations

Big Lots, has just recently Closed 2,Stores Permanently. The, First Big Lots to Close Permanently was in Madison Heights, a Suburb of Detroit. This, Big Lots was located in a 1970's Kroger Store. The, Second Big Lots to Close was in Kentwood, Suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Big Lots has Closed 2,Stores Permanently. And, heard that Big Lots has been Closing Stores in the State of Illinois and Indiana. Big Lots has already Filed for Bankruptcy,and has been Closing Stores Permanently. I've been in a Big Lots Store, and they look, like a Dollar General Store with Furniture. Big Lots, sounds like another Rite Aid Pharmacy, that's Going Out of Business. 7:51

I remember all of this. Burger King, Toys R Us, Macys, a sports store and another store (the other set of doors you think was also Macys).

Where exactly was that pizzeria you said you father owned in Bloomingdale? I moved to Bloomingdale in 1995

I live not too far from here. I remember vividly when this cinema (as well as the other little one down by the Petco) were both open. Saw ALOT of movies at both locations.

This strip mall goes back to the 1960s. Back then there was an ACME and Rexall drugstore here. At some point the strip mall got a makeover and not a very good one. By the record store there used to be a Pepperidge Farm outlet. That was a good place to shop. I think there was a shoe store there too. That McDonalds is an old one and on the small side. I'm surprised it is still there.

Definitely want to go see some of these places. I've always liked exploring abandoned locations. Must get out there again. Thank you for making these videos. They are inspiring. I'm old enough to appreciate California Caldors, Ames, Bradlees and other once major chain stores

I have some news for you. In one town in NJ, there is an open Macy’s with an open toys r us, but an abandoned sears.
