Is Mercedes-Benz’s restructuring enough to close the tech gap with Tesla?
There is little growth in Asia without reducing cost of initial build and service. Asian are much more price sensitive and expect to be able to pay high in house costs that Apple charges.
Another key aspect that sets Apple apart is vertical integration. Apple now produces a lot of the most complex components used in its own products. Apple silicon is very powerful and you can only get it if you buy Apple products. This took a huge investment of time and money and no other company is in the same position today. This is Cook's real legacy, in my opinion.
That's a great point and insight! Thanks for sharing.
I think Apple is an overvalued company, and in last 5-10 years there is no new product or major innovation that apple could launch like it used to when Steve jobs was alive. Its looks like it’s cashing on Steve jobs legacy.
That's an interesting view. It seems like there haven't been as many revolutionary innovations after Jobs. But still wearables, especially the apple watch was a quite big thing. There wasn't much smart watches before that. Fun fact: Steve Jobs didn't wear a watch because he wanted to live in the moment and not be reminded of the passing of time. However, the company he co-founded, Apple, later released the Apple Watch, a device that combines timekeeping with technology.
Sir,can I get that PPT ?
Great

Very nice valuation
Very nice valuation

Your analysis is great but mostly were in the past in history of the Company. Would like to see more about the valuation, the future prespect and the risk looking forward if you want to hold the company. 9 times earning is pretty low but there should be a reason why the market give the Company such low PE. I think the market price it the stock losing it competitive advantage over the EV.

Wow, Best inspirational video.
Thanks, I'm happy you find it inspiring!
Nice. Always liked japanese cars like the subaru and the Kei truck. Really efficient, on point, nothing unnecessary. Not like other "trucks" that occupy a huge unnecesary space and people still use them for in city driving.
My last two primary cars were a Toyota. The value for money is good in Thailand.
Love what you are doing please continue highly engaging.
👌🌟🌸💫✨
IDK if its fair to call EV pressure Extremists, or to look at Toyota as a champion of gas guzzling. Companies like Toyota are at their core engine makers. All those companies focus on a specific engine type, and from that they gain reliability and efficiency. It doesn't make sense for them to abandon their core, for Toyota it is the inline 4 and 6.
There might be room for more than one type of cars. It may be that EVs are the better choice, it may be that we need both ICE and EV, it may be that we need hybrids too. It may also be that there are other technologies that will prove even better. The "extremist" view would be to think there's only one solution, and that we have already found that best solution.
@@bucyrus5000 electric motors are simple. Much simpler than ICE. If Toyota can do complex ICE, then going to DC motors would be like kindergarten. With EVs the complexity is in the battery and charging infrastructure.
No, Toyota is not winning. EV's are simply less expensive to maintain and operate. Hybrids (complex) fail to rid themselves of the extra cost of maintenance for an ICE, which the dealers and industry desire for revenue. BMW's CEO of a couple of years ago resigned because of he failed to move to EV's more assertively. Hybrids waste the advantages of an EV by chaining itself to complexity and costly maintenance of the ICE.
Toyota prius is the GOD FATHER of efficiency and reliability. Do not compare BMW and Toyota. Please, you look like a fool.
Yes, there are many nice things with EVs. There are also a lot of unknowns in terms of battery longevity etc. There are also some commercial and environmental concerns wrt producing those batteries. It's also worth noting that Toyota is producing record sales: www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/toyota-hits-record-output-sales-fy202324-2024-04-25/
This is a failure of an assessment. This company is going to be in huge trouble in the next 5 years. By all means invest away in this. They have beaten back nothing. The world is going electric within 10 years. They are so far behind in the techniques necessary for the manufacture of electric vehicles. They are banking on their knowledge of how to make complex engines but that advantage disappears because the electric engine is much simpler and more reliable. That Toyota advantage in quality could evaporate with the adoption of electric vehicles.
There might be room for more than one type of cars. It may be that EVs are the better choice, it may be that we need both ICE and EV, it may be that we need hybrids too. It may also be that there are other technologies that will prove even better.
Volvo is starting to pull back its EV goals too: www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/volvo-cars-scales-back-electric-vehicle-ambition-2024-09-04/
@@ValuationMasterClass You are just a shill obviously.
@@ValuationMasterClass I think what you don't understand is that electric cars are better on every level. Once they hit 400 miles of range nobody will actually want an internal combustion engine. Everything about the electric vehicle is better. Fewer repair costs, cheaper to run, quieter, and a better driving experience. That is why ICE will disappear in 10 years. ICE makers like Volvo probably can't save themselves. They are probably doomed like Ford and GM without bailouts.
@@ValuationMasterClass Some people used to like their old telephones that were wired to the walls and had long chords. Until the cell phone pretty much eliminated them because the experience was so much better. The electric car is just better that is why ICE will be gone in 10 years.
No. Not buying. I am more future focused and it's clear their strategy will be a failure in the next five years.
People said this 5 years ago, the truth is the world cannot electrify 1.5 billion vehicles in 5 or 10 years, 50 to hundred years maybe
Worth noting that EVs aren't new, and Toyota is showing record sales: www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/toyota-hits-record-output-sales-fy202324-2024-04-25/
Lean manufacturing of obsolete product. Corola 1966 parts can not be used on latest model, therefore just inherited name is not the same product. Toyota will be dead in 24 months.
I have a hard time to believe that Toyota (selling most cars in the world in 2023) would be dead in 2 years.
@@ValuationMasterClass Ok, three years :-). Large corporations need diversification, but Toyota is only car producer without backup plan or backup product.
@@jurijfranko9002 :D Worth noting that they set a sales record in the most recent year: www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/toyota-hits-record-output-sales-fy202324-2024-04-25/
Although not the best in FMVR score, but one of the strategy of the company is to take stake in emerging tech companies which is evident from its investment portfolio in IT companies all around d the world in last 10 year. Point to be noted is that Tencent Investment is a corporate venture capital arm of Tencent Holdings that focuses on investing in companies with high growth potential, particularly in the internet, mobile internet, and e-commerce sectors. This investment arm operates similar to a venture capital fund, but it's a subsidiary of Tencent, not a separate entity.
VC for sure...good point...but it's also buying established businesses....so maybe a PE/VC mix?
@@Andrew_Stotz Yes, its mix of PE/VC. investing in both Early stage and established businesses.
I'm interested in this company. A year later, what do you think about PBF now? It has a low PE, as do some other energy companies. Thanks for your info.
Thank you very much for the insight!
Amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you so much Sir
Been holding apple stock for awhile now and reinvesting my dividends every quarter. Starting to debate if it’s something to hold on too or if there are going to be supply chain issues arising with all the political turmoil happening with china…
sir, any update on SMIC?
Yes, absolutely. I don‘t know whether SMIC will win or not but I am certain SNIC will bot lose.I
No, that is comical.

Their cloud service seems to have a lot of potential, maybe quicker then expected?
What's your story with the Cloud? Been kinda slow lately.. I'm wondering if growth will come back

I enjoy listening to your podcasts.
thanks for the report. However it could have been more interesting if you did not simply read the slides.
thanks for the nice presentation. I believe recent turn of events make this company more attractive now.
Very true. The energy crisis in Europe won’t go away fast.
What a great analysis of a great corporation with great potential . You got a sub. Some of the finance deep dive is over my head by I can still appreciate how incisive and professional it is. I agree commodity cycles can be brutal, but the growth in demand and the over rotation to green energy will mean demand keeps revenue very high. You deserve more subs .
Thanks for that Mick! I'm trying to make it clearer and easier to understand too.
How long can their new business last? And most of their new business depend on domestic consumption. With thailand population Shrink, how long it will last?
I think they will need it to work in the long run. As you point out, Thailand faces a demographic problem that is likely to be an even harder nut to crack.
