I am a middle aged guy who enjoys being a visual story teller, model building, military history and hotrod cars. Together with some friends, I will chronicle some of my adventures adding my own brand of historical commentary. Being a member of the Western Military History Association has definitely given me a unique perspective! I am also an active member of the International Plastic Scale Modelers Society. I plan on giving some historical insights as I build some of the different modeling projects I do, as well as sharing some of my Technics for building and weathering plastic models, and just so you know most of my techniques are old school. Come along as I go to model shows, car shows, museums and other unique adventures. The banner photo is courteous of Photostarr Images.

Devilish excellent very nice build 🐎Mr. ED Says just have fun modeling
@@edwardnash7411 thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked it.
Very Nice Tips I have and do enjoy your Videos 🐎Mr. ED Says just have fun modeling
Great kit review, have fun and enjoy your build. Thanks for sharing.
Great review! I had to pick this kit up when it came out. Ought to be a blast to build when I get to it@
@@dragonfreak123 yes, I am looking forward to getting this one.Done
That's a very good way of solving the fuselage half seam problem. Nice details. I like the latticework for the interior. Looks like a lot of slide-moulded parts, gun barrels, etc. I bet there will be alternative decals available soon. Good luck with the build and best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 i think they did a good job of engineering this kit. I'm anxious to get building on it
@@maddogmerv A good kit will be nice to build👍😀
Another fun kit and nice review.planes, trains and automobiles,oh my.Hey wait a minute, can't leave out tanks.btw, should be cool to see what color/paint you decide on.
@@m.e.9974 i'm planning on doing this one as a torpedo bomber from the carrier Soryu
Looks like it was a fun build, love the color. Thanks for sharing.
A fun kit ti build.
@@dalepetrush4121 very fun indeed. I decided to take mine a little bit further, and make him into a pirate prisoner. Thank you for watching
I'm building this now. Thanks for the tips.
@@craigwhite5703 hope it helps.
If you want to get some fine mesh and make some headlight guards
That came out really good great job 👍🏻
@@Pinkys-one-offs well, thank you. There's a couple of things I've already gone back and changed, like the mirrors being put on wrong, but I'm pretty happy with the color and the look. Definitely Wouldn't kick the real thing out of my driveway.
Nice work. 👍
It's almost like a real Dodge that fights back and gives you trouble haha, it still came out nice tho♡
@@felixculpa6240 how true you are. It's a good thing. I didn't have to replicate the electrical system. With all the old dodges I've ever dealt with, there's always something haywire, with the electrical.
Looks cool. (125 Rods)
@@smithgroove945 thanks, I wanted something unique for the paint job
Try not to under estimate your work in a few areas cause it looks fantastic for the mods.Love the looks of this mod/lift.Rubs in the back, sounds like real life trucks sometimes, before adjustments. How was the family cook out ?
@@m.e.9974 ribeye steaks! My son bought a big slab of meat and then we cut our own steaks. It was amazing. Thanks for the kind words on the build. Definitely a Utah special. With the fact that doesn't sit quite right, and the tires tend to rub.
Little red express ???
@@brenndanb6691 oh, I've built one of those too. But the little red express only came as a 2 wheel drive truck, the warlocks. You had the option of 2 or 4 wheel drive. And of course, the exhaust on a little red truck was awesome and unique. I wouldn't kick either one of these out of my driveway.
Love the truck
The 3d print looks great i agreed with Pete raid the parts bin still looks pretty good rough and ready 👍👍
@@seamybmw thanks, I would definitely recommend rating apart, spin and getting good headlights. The marker lights, I'm still not sure how to best handle that one, but overall the 3D printing is great. It just leaves you without a completed model, by not including away to have the lenses.
The 3d grille is an interesting change. I think I would scavenge styrene lenses rather than her resin.
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 that was my first thought as well. But according to the person who manufactures these, he recommends using the uh UV epoxy, so I thought I would give it a shot and I much regret doing so.
@@maddogmervI understand that you've followed the manufacturers advice but the styrene parts would have given the grid pattern. I don't know if you could clear resin cast lenses from styrene🤔. I would have looked for big rig parts for rectangular indicators🤔
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 yes, this was definitely a learning experience for me. The first time I've had to do something like this. Fortunately for the rest of you guys, I think this was a good example of what not to do.
@@maddogmerv I think you are right,Merv👍😶.I used some chromed domed gems,I polished the chrome off the backs to just have clear part, and have used them as projector lenses over the headlight buckets😀. I have run out of clear styrene lenses and really need to cast some😣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I very vividly remember seeing this box at my favourite model store as a little kid, it kept taunting me from the top shelf of the store like crazy but it always stayed way out of my price range. Seeing this kit reviewed and the box opened in my old age is almost like closure...lol Thank you! Now I'm hoping to find a video of you building it...😊
@@normg2242 haven't built it yet, but it is definitely on my list. Thank you for watching, and thank you so much for commenting.

@@jonathanaarons6442 Thank you! Enjoy your week.

@@m.e.9974 hope you can get out and see some of the fall colors.
Why wasn't the school closed for the day?????
@@theresedavis2526 that's a very good question. I guess the only answer is. It was a different time and perhaps contacting parents and all that kind of stuff was not something the school district was prepared to handle. Not really sure, but definitely a tragic event.
What size half-round styrene rods did you use for the vinyl top? Thank you
@@SteveWarner-vl5yh honestly, I couldn't tell you. I grabbed a few different sizes that I had and looked. At it up against the side of the model to see which one I felt looked most realistic. I believe it's somewhere around an .040 or .030 definitely. Look at the pictures of the real car that you want to model and you should be able to eyeball it from there, finding something fairly close.
Was this originally an Aurora kit?
@@ronandanne1 yes,1964 i believe

Excellent work, Merv. The spooky mermaid is really great and unique, you'll have a fun Halloween down there. Cheers
