That’s awesome! Sounds like a good birthday that you got an A geniculata! It’s definitely a great species :)
how did you know that it's a "her" in this stage? anyway, thanks for this setup video. Just got my mbalf yesterday (same size as yours in this video)in Petcon here in PH and your video gave me a really cool idea 👌
@@darz23 Honestly it was just a hopeful guess. She’s now become a subadult and it turned out to be a female! Would love to visit the motherland again and check out Petcon!

Which biome ecosystem would you guys like to see me simulate next?
I have small chaco golden knee, about 1 inch. How much mealworms should i feed it and how often? And also do i need to prekill the worms?
Any geckos from the sphaerodactylus genus would play well with friendly tank mates. Some keepers keep them with darts.
@@avgft3419 I love the colour pattern on those! I would definitely consider but the challenge is finding it in Canada
@ I’m Canadian as well. They are occasionally imported (Northern reptile). There are a bunch of private keepers on fb and sometimes listed on kijiji, they mostly keep to themselves and aren’t really talked about but they’re there. Most species available I’ve seen are rosesurae, ashy, and sputator. I myself have a pair of sphaerodactylus Sabanus. Theyre great for micro set ups in like exo 8x8x12 being one of the few that can actually be housed in something that small. Only qualm with them is that they’re very shy so I’m hoping my pair becomes more visible.
@ oh sweet I’ll be on the look out then! I’m in BC so there are a reptile expo in April I believe
cool video! I would recomend adding a couple more mourning geckos as they prefer to live in groups. It would also be cool to see some small aquatic snails added to the water column!
@@insaneskate999 You are right! I will be adding more so she’s not lonely! I was thinking of snails too, they would make a good addition to the water column. Stay tuned for the update video!

Hi, I compliment you on the video.. beautiful but I want to know where you got it and if it's cheap, this terrarium or terrariums in general.. I love terrariums and ecosystems to build. Thanks and good continuation
@@erengineer9793 You can go the same route as what I did and use a standard fish tank and flip it on its side. You can build this one for under $100. The animal prices will depend where you buy them from
@@lostInExotics i am from rome , italy . my cash are euro. can I know the site of this terrrarium where ypu buy it ?
@@erengineer9793 this terrarium I made with my old fish tank. Im sure you can find a fish tank or even a reptile terrarium in your local pet store
Sometimes you will also see the vampire crabs eating some isopods, I have some red devil vampire crabs and one of them is always hunting them
That’s awesome! I’m glad they can eat a varied diet. I’ve never seen one of mines yet but I’m sure they’re eating them behind the scenes.
@ yeah you also need to feed them a really diverse died because if they eat only the same thing the chance is higher that they fail their mold and die.
mouring geckos should live in groups, they will feel comfortable if they would have 2-3 sisters :D
@@antoniabno7524 you are absolutely correct :) I’m planning to add more and also a sneak peek; I see round white balls in the top corner of the terrarium ;)
Which animals would you like to see added to the ecosystem??
Slugs.
@@jobernhard4243 Those are great recommendations! I will definitely add them if all is compatible. If there’s too high of a risk for incompatibility, I will create a bigger ecosystem!
@@user-qh1cm1ki9v I’ve been looking for them actually. Once I find them I’ll definitely introduce them!

I have a White Knee that i named "Empress", and she is easily 6.5 inches, My largest Tarantula out of the 5 i own
@@sneakysquidgaming916 That’s awesome! How’s the temperament of your white knee?
@@lostInExotics shes very bold, and an aggressive eater, never uses the cork bark hide that I gave her
@ That’s what I love about em! Once they pack on some size they are always out. That’s why they’re one of the best showcase tarantulas. I agree with the aggressive eating. I love it. The one in the video has quickly outgrown this enclosure so now I’ll be giving her a permanent adult enclosure!
@@lostInExotics I currently have mine in a 10 gallon tank, but I know she will out grow it in the near future
Really good video! My only suggestion would be, to drill the holes before glueing it all together - much easier, less likely to crack or get scratched, but if something does go wrong while drilling, the panel can just be redone without effecting the complete build.
@@nopenopehole you are completely right! In retrospect, I should’ve done that. I did start pre drilling the enclosures I made after this video :)
The smell when using silicon is literally just vinegar... sure it smells terrible but absolutely harmless for anyone wondering
I just got a Brazilian white knee. Buddy was a bit terrified when I picked her up. She is so chill. I am a bit worried though. I’ve had her for three weeks and she is eating as far as I can tell. I e just been feeding her crickets. Tonight I tossed in a horn worm. I still need to make my enclosure better but I added moss what I believe she’s never had. Any suggestions?
@@snowboardADED That’s awesome! Enjoy your new friend! As per suggestions, moss would definitely look great in the enclosure. Hides like cork bark will make it look more realistic. These guys live in the forest floors of the Amazon rainforest so think of lots of hides and foliage. Plants like polka dot plants, fittonias, and ferns will do awesome in high moisture environments!
@@lostInExotics awesome thanks!!
@@snowboardADED you're welcome!
I love that it went right to work webbing! Very happy spider :)
@@FeralSheWolf Indeed :) She’s now outgrown this enclosure so it’s about time to upgrade her to a forever home.
All spiders need water
@@mikechudley9137 ofc! All living things need water to survive. This enclosure gets misted often so they get their water through the soil or droplets

You can order them on amazon!
can we get an update on the m.balfouri
The M balfouri has grown a couple inches! There have been mishaps with the enclosure and i think it would make for a good video. I also acquired 3 more M balfouri slings and Im planning to do a communal!
