Creating a Rainforest Ecosystem using a Fish Tank
#paludarium #terrarium #bioactive #ecosystem
In this video, I turned an aquarium fish tank into a Rainforest ecosystem. It was my first time doing this so everything was a challenge for me. From using spray foam to carving to using silicone, my inexperienced skills were pushed to the limits. In the end, it turned out decent!
This is a continuation from the previous rainforest ecosystem build ruclips.net/video/msj2REGR048/видео.html as that build got wiped out by a big mold explosion which killed everything. This is the new start to the journey,

    I just got a Brazilian white knee. Buddy was a bit terrified when I picked her up. She is so chill. I am a bit worried though. I’ve had her for three weeks and she is eating as far as I can tell. I e just been feeding her crickets. Tonight I tossed in a horn worm. I still need to make my enclosure better but I added moss what I believe she’s never had. Any suggestions?

    • @lostInExotics
      @lostInExotics 4 часа назад

      @@snowboardADED That’s awesome! Enjoy your new friend! As per suggestions, moss would definitely look great in the enclosure. Hides like cork bark will make it look more realistic. These guys live in the forest floors of the Amazon rainforest so think of lots of hides and foliage. Plants like polka dot plants, fittonias, and ferns will do awesome in high moisture environments!

I imagine they have a tendency to instinctively avoid that since it's generally not in their best interest for survival. In my experience, it's just a matter of patience. Mine usually jumps on and then immediately back off my hand several times before finally jumping/walking on my hand and actually sticking around. It takes him awhile to get comfortable with me every time. Offering them your hand as a new high point for the spider to climb or jump to, like you're doing at around 2:40 seems to be the most effective method.
