And second, its nice to see that across the board student rankings seem to be pretty consistent from one school to another. Meaning higher belts usually win, and matches with the same belt levels are usually evenly matched

Insanely small mats. Would have liked to see this on a full mat with proper borders. The event organizers should have been held liable if that kid had been hurt.

Went the way of pretty much every heavyweight match. :) 1) A few minutes of standing because neither person wants to end up on bottom, but neither can really take the other down effectively. 2) Someone falls down. 3) The other guy falls on top of him. 4) Shoulder lock. This was all we used to train out 260-plus-pound guys to do... because it works.

Why are they on a kids mat? I’m not a BJJ superstar, but I wrestled enough tournaments to know those mats are for ages 5-6 to 13-14, is there a regulation size for adults?

This is entertaining full contact BJJ, lack of barriers and the size of the mat is mainly at fault,but you would think after the first few blast doubles they would move the kids, great parenting and then wanted to act touch

Yes, the mats are unreasonably small and the venue is the worst I've seen but that doesn't mean you disregard everyone around you, including the other competitors.
