Hi Carol, thanks for the video but I think Quickbooks along with a number of other similar products has a basic flaw in the logic. While we have created a "Bill" for the liability to the supplier, we have not processed the suppliers actual invoice so when the invoice arrives in there will be a requirement to check the actual invoice to the fictional "Bill" that we have created. Whatever happened to good old GRNI accrual (Goods Received Not Invoiced). I can see the logic adopted by QBO causing a lot of confusion. Or am I missing something... I hope I am.

What if it says zero in receiving even though it should not say zero. Do you know how I can fix it?

That doesnt make sense, surely you receive goods before you receive the Supplier bill

You got the first one in '07, but not the one done in '08. It throws the balance sheet off by changing retained earnings on the income statement.

If this is accordance with IFRS, I think you only deduct the preference shares for the current year dividend only if it is a cumulative, and if it's not, you only deduct the preference share dividend if there's declaration :)
