I added a free Chromecast dongle to the HDMI input of our 2022 Lexus LX 600 and configured it to use the built in ATT Wi-Fi hotspot. This allows streaming of any service the Chromecast supports including Netflix, RUclips TV, Disney+, etc.

Engine Noise 2016 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2L
Просмотров 15 тыс.7 лет назад
My 2016 Yukon Denali with 8500 miles is exhibiting very loud ticking. It started on 09/20/2017 after PIP5395A was performed for a ringing noise that was apparent on on earlier video. The ticking calmed down in cooler temps over the winter but it is getting more predominant now that Spring is here and temps are warmer. The noise is reproducible through the RPM range. Under full acceleration, som...
2016 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2L Ringing Noise
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.7 лет назад
This ringing noise started under mild to moderate acceleration at lower speed on my '16 GMC Yukon Denali. I first noticed it at 600 miles. Two trips to Ewing Buick GMC in Plano, TX have yielded no results. UPDATE: On 09/20/2016, Ewing Buick GMC performed PIP5395A for a sticking fuel feed pipe check valve. I'm still dealing with issues I believe are related to this or possibly a clogged/bad inje...

    Nice, also another question: How well does the white interior stay free of stains or dirt? Cool color combo.

      It wipes clean with a wet microfiber. The semi-aniline leather has a coating to protect it. Two kids and no stains so far.

    Guys I was searching up for that noise and how can I solve the problem I replaced the vacuum pump costed me $550 just because I read a comment of the guy it says vacuum pump and this is not the vacuum pump. I asked GM they say this is a normal problem for 6.2 L engine some people they say lifters some people they say use a thicker oil so we don’t know the truth please don’t waste your money because this is a normal problem for 6.2 L

      You can plug in two sets of headphones or pass sound to the audio system.

      Correct. I did not have the sound routes through the speakers, but it’s possible. My kids plug in the included headphones.

      Miracast works best with Android phones. I use Apple devices. The miracast apps in the Apple App Store a very limited. For instance they cannot stream Netflix since it’s a separate app.

    I have the exact same sound in my 2018 Yukon XL Denali. Thanks for posting and providing the exact service announcement from GM. I will be sure to share it with my dealer during my Weds appointment. Concerning the other issues you faced after this where you also able to get them addressed?

    • @shawnstephens3566
      @shawnstephens3566 4 года назад

      They never would address it. I took it in 6 times. Always some excuse. I finally just traded it off because I had so many issues with warranty service on it and the GMC Canyon I had prior . I haven’t owned a GM since.

  • @sircaesium3932
    @sircaesium3932 4 года назад

    It’s normal. That’s the sound of a 6.2l vacuum pump. You can change the pump but won’t be covered by warranty. Vacuum pump is located by driver side of engine. A 6.2l is a performance engine, it’s gonna make some noise. Get a 5.3l if you want quiet.

      This is not the vacuum pump. I replaced the vacuum pump and you are wrong and it costed me $550 just because of your guessing because I read your comment and I went the next day and I replaced it 😡 do not give advice to people if you don’t know and you’re trying to be a smart ass because some people they say, lifters some people they say, put a thicker oil and I asked GM they say this is a normal problem for 6.2L engine

  • @stephenrand4961

    It’s because the exhaust on the new gm trucks are designed to be to pussy like and not sound like a real truck if you want a real truck get an 06 yukon denali

  • @suitsmoney
    @suitsmoney 7 лет назад

    are you using 87 octane? GM specifies 93 octane for these engines. Owners manual said this noise could happen if you use 87.

    • @shawnstephens3566
      @shawnstephens3566 7 лет назад

      suitsmoney I was using 93 and Top Tier fuel as recommended. I got rid of the Denali. Too many issues for a vehicle of this price.

    • @suitsmoney
      @suitsmoney 7 лет назад

      I am sorry to hear that and hopefully I do not experience the same kind of issues. (I just bought a brand new 2017 Denali Ultimate edition)

    It's not the exhaust, have them look at active noise cancellation system.... the system looks at vehicle rpm and could have a misaligned microphone in the headliner which could be causing it to cancel the wrong noise

    • @jharty76
      @jharty76 6 лет назад

      Had the same problem, it was the microphone.

    Do you have an update on this? My 16 Silverado with the 6.2 makes the same noise. Dealer told me it is normal without even a test drive :/ I think if it were normal it wouldn't come and go like it does.

    • @shawnstephens3566
      @shawnstephens3566 7 лет назад

      AGARubberDuck yes I traded off the Denali. I had two visits to the service department after this in addition to the 4 or 5 visits I had before the video was made. Even a GM field engineer said there was nothing wrong. I can't tolerate a vehicle that sounds like this. I'll never buy another GM product, problem solved. Sorry to hear you have the same issue and best of luck.

      See my latest video. I'm still dealing with issues. I don't have the ringing, but I have a much more harsh ticking noise now. See the description for all the details. ruclips.net/video/JBTPhveBCJM/видео.html
