I darkened a wig I got that was too light using alcohol markers. Turned out real pretty. I got a brown wig that had some blond mixed into it. I got some Master's Touch alcohol markers from Hobby Lobby. Three shades of brown. Mahogany was a little red and it turned out pretty. And I did streaks of Chocolate, and I darkened the roots with Chestnut brown. I did about a quarter of it at a time, going through the layers. I bought some extra markers in case I need to go over it some more after I wash it.

Thx, I have been looking for a cap that I think would fit my head, or that I can create to fit my head. I am waiting on a melted hairline, but I am going to send it back because of the cap. I have a melted hairline now, and I have tried stretching the cap, and its still uncomfortable. Well, I think I will try this one. Oh, take some thinning sheers to the ends of the wig, and that will help with the tangling. It wont stop the tangling, but you will have less. Thx Faith.

Another great video. The unit looks great on you! Sorry, I always have questions... If you could only get one of the curly medium salt & pepper Soul Lady wigs that you've reviewed, which one would you get? This half wig? Or the headband wig you reviewed a while back? This half wig looks slightly layered. Do the two wigs feel the same? Is the curl and color the same? I ask because on Soul Lady's website, this half wig is called "afro curly" and the headband wig you reviewed was called "kinky curly" and the curl looks the same, but maybe not in person. Thanks again.

Thanks for this Faith and thanks for the warning about the instructions. I have alopecia so I'm trying different things to get a look closer to my original hair with the wigs. You mentioned using Got2B gel and glue on the lace to protect it from the dye. Did you ever do a video on that? I"m curious: My hair was an ashy black color with white streaks before it fell out. if I wanted to try and get the look of white highlights on the graphite, would using the Got2B on single strands (to keep the original white of the wig) work you think? I have a couple of white wigs because when I bought them, there weren't really any gray ones. The companies are finally starting to make a wider selection of colors in grays now. Anyway, thanks for the video. I've been wanting to try this but I'm a scaredy-cat, LOL.
