When I was a kid in France, I used to go to the cinema on Sunday mornings and it was called matinée. I don't know if they still use the word for that.

@@josephkremer8935 Il suffisait de choisir entre 3 options. Chaque option est possible du point de vue grammatical mais seule une réponse est correcte pour changer de registre plus soutenu. Donc il n'était pas nécessaire de spécifier quoi que ce soit. J'espère que tu as bien compris l'exercice: "'to the next level". Bonne continuation !

Thanks for your comment. You are right: le, la, les mean 'the"... but also "it" when used as object pronouns. It is not really confusing. If you say: I am eating it (it= the fruit), you know that it is not going to be "je mange le" (I eat the). That is the reason why that le has to be placed before the verb so that we know that the sentence is finished. Hence, je le mange. I hope this clarifies things a little.
