I would like to show you how to build anything from a Solar Generator to a fine furniture. I have been building things for years and thought it would be fun to share me experience's.
I will also be showing how to fix many things around the house. I have almost 40 years in the construction industry. Most of that was doing floors.

what battery did you use ?
I built the Batteries
I just want to know, how much you charge to build this generator.
that is a pretty cool build. nice work
I appreciate you showing your build. I watched rogue engineer also but found your video very helpful since you listed measurements. I also appreciate even showing your mixup with the boards....because IT HAPPENS!
Thank you for the video. Table looks beautiful!
I’m in VA so no competition for you. I’d like to build my own, about how much total cost, so I don’t have to look up every piece, thanks. Great build, exactly what I want to do, but I may use a Sungold power 24 volt. Use 2x12 volt mini batteries in series. You did a nice job explaining everything really well, thanks
This build was around $2000.
Thanks so much. I know I can buy some nice setups on sale, but tempted to build one that is modular and easy to repair in case of failure.
How long are the short boards with the 45 and 40 angles?
Like your solar cable. I purchased replacement ends for my orange 50' 12-3ga extension cord and used them with MC4 connectors to fabricate "adaptors". With the "adaptors" I can use my extension cord during a power outage to feed solar power to my mobile battery powered cart. Thanks for sharing you ideas. Much appreciated! Have a blessed day.
I'm presently building my own Solar Power Pack. I'm using a Pelican 1430 Hard Case. It holds a Li-Time Mini 100 Amp Battery perfectly.
Veey Good
I like this👍
Thanks Paul
I’d love to duplicate your project. Would you consider publishing a list of parts with part numbers and addresses of firms which may supply the parts?
It is a 3000 watt Gandel power inverter and a Rover 30 amp charge controller. You can go to my other videos for the other parts you need.
Is that a 2x4 piece of plywood it's mounted to?
do you still do complete builds for people?
👍😀
Greeting from Canada Toronto thats nice build how come you used no breaker going to you 110A/C outlet plug i have few inverter i have 800 watts 60Hz 110A/C output i build my own power station i have 2 20Amp breaker from my inverter going for 2 outlet 110A/C outlet plug so if anything happenend to my inverter the breaker will only flip like breaker that is in yours house
I used GFCI outlets. They have built-in breakers.
@@paulswoodshop395 that is cool 😇😇😇😇🥰🥰🥰
Great video.. What router bit do you use ? WIN
spiral up cut bits
Can you build me one with 3000 watt inverter ?
Great build until you added that cheap high frequency, transformerless inverter. High frequency inverters are not much more than a toy when it comes to reliability, performance and safety. They offer the poorest surge capacity ratings and a much short life expectancy than a real inverter that uses low frequency, transformer based technology, and because they don't have an iron core, copper wound output transformer to isolate the DC boost stage from its AC output, there is always the possibility that this cheap Chinese made inverter can pass DC current to your AC appliances and set them on fire.
Out of curiosity, what AWG wire are you using between battery and the inverter? Everything I see says to use 2/0 AWG for a 2000W inverter. That gauge of wire is very hard to work with. Thank you
what battery did you use?
I built the batteries from cells I purchased from Battery Hookup. They no longer sell them.
Can you give me a diagram about this? I am planning to do such a project for 12v 200ah battery and 5000w inverter.
That cut at 4:50 is VERY Dangerous. You should never make a cut freehand on a table saw, always use a miter gauge or tapering jig. But I know you are going to tell me you have been doing it that way for years with no problem. It only takes one time to get hurt and you will change your mind.
looks like the inverter rating was chosen for longevity? That can't be more than a 12V 100ah battery with probably a 100A BMS, so you'll never reach the inverter's capacity.
Where's the muffler? This is the most loaded power station build yet.
What will the run... Freezer? Home AC unit? Fireplace blower? Or what.
Excellent, thank you. Where did you find your solar panel charging port so you can easily disconnect the solar panel wires from the box?
If you click more in comments below the video there is a parts list.
From a Solar DIY builder myself ...I have to say this is a nice Build....nice work ...
the Bush Baar and USB links are the same link to the Buse bar, can you share the link to the USB you utilized??
Yes with no problems.
Where did you get the individual batteries from??
Battery Hookup
Hi Paul, do you have a video on how you constructed the battery pack??
ruclips.net/video/CCpNzVukm6s/видео.html
Nice build. Is there any reason why you didn't use a hybrid charge controller/inverter? You could potentially double the battery capacity with the extra room
This guy knows how to build, he is very meticulous how he does it
Thanks. Il loved making them but it became too costly to build them and China during Covid made it hard to get parts and what I was getting became inferior to the same parts I was buying prior to Covid.
Reply: "I recently came across the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series and was really impressed with its features! The massive capacity, waterproof technology, and fast recharging make it a reliable option for outdoor enthusiasts like us. Plus, the smart app control adds convenience. Definitely worth considering for camping trips and home backup power. Happy adventuring!"
Great build! Thanks for sharing.
Correct me Please, if your starting with a 24-volt battery then why didn't you stay 24-volt with the inverter? Would be more efficient wouldn't it?
Where can I purchase one?
Template? 🤔 That's a great idea. Thanks!
Paul: This is a great video and is exactly what I was looking for in anticipation of building my kitchen table with hardwood flooring. It appears that you have no concern for wood movement and if this is the case what do you think of constructing the top with a breadboard if not for movement then for appearance? I consider this a master build class. Thank you for taking the time and I look forward to more builds from you. Jim Jay
You forgot the proper fuse at the POS battery post to protect the WHOLE system from fire. All POS connections need to be covered or insulated to prevent that SHIT Happens moment.
Safety FIRST. YOU'RE selling these things with No proper fuse at the POS battery post to protect the wires from causing a fire if SHIT was to happen, also ALL of the POS connections need to be covered or insulated for the same reason. Same as a AC panel. Your the engineer and builder and have the responsibility to Do it RIGHT don't just make it work.
Just FYI you might watch a video on using a resistor with a momentary switch so you don’t arc your cutoff switch from the inverter capacitors when you first turn it on after sitting awhile. You just attach a resistor with a momentary button between the lugs of the cutoff switch and hold the button for 5 seconds then ingage the cutoff switch. You can also use a old candescent light bulb as the resistor.
Here is my build, I show using the resistor during it. After seeing your build I would definitely make mine like yours. ruclips.net/video/WV-FsQPcuz8/видео.htmlsi=qjLeNRHQ3rsyCZuL
I love this design
fingers are awefully close to that bit
Very nice neat build. Greetings from Jamaica. Edit: Looking again, you need to move one of the battery connections to the other battery to provide a balance. The top battery will drain faster and charge faster than the bottom one. The positive wire looks long enough to reach the positive terminal of the bottom battery so you can try that one.
No type c?
I am confused. The long boards get 40 degrees angle at one end, and 45 degrees angle at the other end. Do the short boards have a 30-degree angle at both ends?
What kind of batteries did you use? Were they marine batteries? Etc
