Why do junk journalers want real vintage fabric as opposed to new fabric that is a reproduction? The new fabric would not be as fragile.

Sarah - I’m barely 1/3 of the way into your video but I just have to say that I am so impressed! All the pieces I’ve seen so far are beautiful and ingenious! Oooooh yes, scan them!!! What a treasure you got! The dollar shelves are my faves. I have a beautiful Shakespeare book from the 1800’s with amazing illustrations in it. Idk how I would scan it as the pages are still in tact & the book is very thick. Any suggestions?

I wish I had seen this before I attempted with a rug from Five Below. I cannot believe the piles of dirt it left behind along with globs of something I assume were dead leaves. Any suggestions on how to wash them? There are some gorgeous fabrics that I would like to salvage if possible. 🙏 I bought the other style rug, the traditional one. I wonder if they are always dirty or is it a Five Below thing?
