So off of the wall the way you air roll is super fast, when i air roll the car does not spin as fast as yours. Im talking about position yourself after the jump off the wall

I got to C2 with a very mediocre air roll then switched to square deadzone and added directional right air roll and ranked down to dia 2 in two weeks. Its really hard to implement but I am starting to see the potential. I am quite further away than I thought I'd be at this point, its crazy haha

Bro whats the best step into the basic mechs for a freestyler mentally or playstyle ? Im probably jumping the gun as a diamond ,2 peak and usually stay in p3 but i do wanna become a freestyler tbh

Hey Leaf if u check out mizu's tutorial on wall dash he explains how to chain dash pretty easily, i learned in 5 minutes (im D1) it kinda helps in lower ranks too.

I'm seeing people complaining that these lobbies seem low skill... I'm in C1 pushing on C2 now. Peoples mechs are sooo much better than they used to be. The thing that diamond players (and most champs) dont have, is consistency. You will 100% see people hitting flip resets/ceiling shots/flicks/solid pass plays all the way from Plat1 and up(seriously). BUT even the people who can occasionally do it, are not very consistent. Here's the rub though, THOSE PEOPLE are the ones who are actually learning to be mechanical. For this reason I don't always agree with the mentality I see in so many youtube videos where people are basically claiming that mechanics are not necessary at all until you get to high C3 or GC1. I strongly disagree with this idea. These people that you see occasionally hitting sloppy air carries in diamond are the ones who will eventually be hitting super clean air carries in champ. This stuff takes a lot of time to master or even get halfway consistent. I still only get a good air carry about 1/3 of the time I go for it. But that stat would be .0000001 if i didn't already have hundreds of hours worth of practice trying to go for it in games all thru my time in diamond. You should never spam attempts at any mechanic that your not consistent at because you will make mistakes and get scored on and never win a game. BUT I really don't think you should NEVER go for anything. SSL players can hit a bonce dribble power shot and perfectly place the ball at any spot they want on the goal. But the reason this feels so easy for them is because of the fact they have mastered doing much trickier mechanics. Whenever you can control the ball in an inverted air carry into a double tap, power shots just FEEL easier. You're no longer worried about just getting a solid hit and your actually fine tuning the placement of the shot b/c the first part has become simple. There ya go thats my rant. TLDR: I disagree with the idea that you should put off learning mechanics. The people in your games who are trying to do mechanical things are the ones who are actually getting better. I have a friend who has SSL level game sense but isn't mechanical and he will continue to be hard stuck C3 until he learns to use air roll. That's the hard truth.

I think they thought you were on a Xbox controller because in game it says ‘Ball Cam, Press (Y) To Toggle’, ‘(B) Back’, ‘(X) Default’ ‘LB’, ‘RB’ ‘(Y) Clear Keybinding’ etc

Alternatively to free air-roll: You can also just bind the other directional air-roll and completely forget about the free air-roll. At least I do not use this button in the air, at all, unless I want to land in a drift.
