Mhh... Why not try it with the battery in the beginning? Bosch Tools do not Start with just the 18V applied they need 2 more connections. The NTC of the Battery Pack and the connector to Tell the tool which kind of battery and there which power to use

Fantastic videos - very clear and straight to the point! Could you do a video on the Milwaukee multitools please? I have recently acquired a M18FMT (fuel multi tool) were the LED comes on and a click is heard from the motor. Interestingly, when the rotor is turned, at specific points the motor will run but will turn off after 1 second and then crackling sounds can be heard when it comes to a stop, or in other cases it just attempts to spin and judders in the same spot when the switch is pressed. I have taken off the PCB potting, checked for phase wire shorts, checked the caps, and resistor values, and mosfets seem fine. I changed over the motor controller IC as I don’t have an oscilloscope however it still exhibits the same issue. The daughter board connections looks fine although I have not checked the components on this, and I haven’t taken apart the motor yet as I’m not sure how to separate it, I think a cir-clip holds the rotor in place. Going by your Bosch drill video, I reckon it could be a windings issue. Be great to hear your thoughts on this and to see what issues you’ve had with multitools!

I left my outside in 🌧️ and same happened. Main problems is manufacturing fail not to protect board with normal coating of lacquer. I was lucky-only one “0” resistor was damaged.

How much time did it take?

I have gsr 12V 35 and occasionally the break do not engage after releasing the trigger ( and the drill is unresponsive until it stops). I send it to under warranty repair and they change the circuit board, but it still do the same thing. Any idea what this can be ?

I have one that wasn't working, after some batteries leaking (weird, since this happened only after a couple of months and being used), it wouldn't turn on. What I did was clean the battery compartment with contact cleaner and it eventually worked. First for a few seconds then turn off immediately, so I clean it again and now it's working. The readings seem to be OK. Thanks for sharing.

you gloss over the hard part: getting that back plate off that holds the brushes without damaging the motor housing or back plate

My mosfet is bown the same way. The only option I have is to buy the whole board from Bosch for 20 EUR. Can you please share the specifications for the Mosfet, I can see the original is H7084 but the one you used is H7440. Can you please provide the part number?

Nice work there, there's a bosch psb 18 li-2 I got from a fairly used shop, if you push the switch the battery lights but it doesn't turn. What could possibly be the problem? I can attach the picture for you

Thank you man! I was able to fix the Bosch gdr 200c by watching your video! Otherwise they asked me to replace the entire switch with electronics! Actually I just cleaned the switch from dirt! And now it works again. Keep it up!

Wonder what would cause the matching impact to have a very similar issue. The Indicator will flash one led for a sec then turn off with no action of the motor. Keep the trigger held in,remove the battery, then insert the battery then the impact works fine for about 1-10mins.. seems random how long it lasts. Sometimes just till the leds turn off,other times 10mins or more before the trick needs to be done again.

Well doing this I had 2 small pins fall out of device. Any idea where they go back in at?
