Presumeably this is the Paladin 300 Xpro like I just got? It's a helluva bike, although the KPX250 is far less assembly work, and generally a better although less capable integrated package.

@markhall3434 No this is the Templar X 250 with a big bore kit. Air/oil cooled motor with some porting and cam work. It puts out similar HP and torque as your bike. None the less both great bikes. How are you liking the Paladin?

I knew I recognized William Floyd Parkway! LIE West to Horse block road in Medford. Made a right onto rt 112 to Port Jeff Station. Not sure what woods you were in but when I get another enduro I am gonna have to find it. I miss my old Yamy XT350. I used to ride heavily in the woods west of Grumman (Calverton) which lead to Brookhaven lab, the back end of it. Also north of 25 by Calverton by the power lines from there and of course Hot water street in Manorville. The beauty of street legal is getting out. Once took the power lines from Yapank to Riverhead. Sometimes had to get on the street to get around closed off areas but we made it. Even having to go through a golf course. I want another so bad before I am too old to ride.

These will be all over for under $500 in a couple years. Already seeing some barely used and abused for 1k. Buddy has one and it just left him stranded. Not even 1k miles and has done more wrenching than riding. After riding it I’m not convinced it’s worth it versus a solid used Japanese bike.

@@customeverything9952the better way to put it is that the base model Templar is 90% for off-road and 10% on just to get to trails for shorter riders. About 3/4 the size of a “regular” dirt bike. (It’s closer to the size of a 125 2-stroke) Think of it as a grom replacment that is MUCH more capable. The X and M are full size dual sports meant for more like 70% off-road and 30% on road for people 5’ 10” plus. More-so to compete with things like the CRF250L

I grew up riding Jap / Euro all throughout the late 70's to present. The last enduro bike I had was a 99 WR426 plated. I am seriously considering picking one of these up, if not for the price alone, the curiosity of a new motorcycle manufacturer. I have read comments from guys like me who have been riding their whole life, through to the brand new rider, which you don't normally see in the woods, as everyone has the $10k KTM and wouldn't be caught dead on a Chinese bike. I will ride anything with two wheels, no matter where it comes from, and will give them leeway to improve their design, just as the Jap bikes had to overcome. Nice bike you've got there.

My riding is mostly small town streets, rural roads and a few gravel trails here and there. I do like the Paladins esthetics and being water cooled. But I want a bulletproof, simplistic bike that I can tune myself. Glad I found your channel. I just put my down-payment on the TemplarX.
