Hi, I'm a 21 year old work-in-progress artist, who uses mainly textiles. I started sewing, before getting into knitting, which really opened up the world of fiber arts in general to me. I've learnt mainly off of RUclips tutorials and trial and error. I'm trying to document my process a bit more, so this is almost a log of the work I'm doing.

hi, this is my first ever video, which I filmed over a year ago. I've been hesitating as to whether or not to post it, but it's here now. I've definitely learnt a lot since making this sweater, so please know this is probably more useful to beginner's rather than more experienced knitters. free pdf pattern which includes yarn quantities, number of increases, stitch counts, etc: (tr.ee/fOiTQtuwC...
Ur so awesome girl
@@Purplecat3444 thank you <3
Loved all the outfits you put together, and with the pink mohair it was the perfect amount of colour imho <3 Excited for the frame weaving - warping on the floor put me in the mind of ancient Egyptian weavers with their ground looms. The ladies on the tapestry are living it up, good for them honestly
@@helenanevrayeva thank you this is such a lovely comment!! i’ve never heard of ancient egyptian ground looms i’ll definitely have to check it out! and yes the ladies are truly living their best life
@@zoe_among_other_things I learned about them from a book recommended by Engineering Knits here on YT, it's called Women's Work: The First 20,000 Years. It was such a fascinating read. I've never been so engrossed in a history book!
@@helenanevrayeva Sounds so interesting! I’m going to check it out, thanks for the recommendation!
I love your videos<333 they're so sweet and a tiny bit chaotic, they make me wish we were friends!
thank you! that's so kind of you to say, and yes there is definitely a slightly chaotic vibe
this video felt like a cosy facetime with a friend, so sweet!! "fibre arts major" sounds incredible, i wish i could go back to school to learn that!!
awww thanks:) and yes I feel very lucky to be able to be in school for that!
Very Beautiful!!👏👏👏👏
So i know nothimg about you. But i am so impressed by the different textures you achieve with fibers.
thank you!
Gosh I love project recaps, also I love your backdrop!!
thank you! that’s very kind
Congratulations for a really great piece of textile art ❤. Oh and the needle looked like a sashiko needle.
thank you and that’s good to know!
The newly darted pieces look amazing!
thank you!!
You should make a bag out of the dress!!
I love videos like this. It's so satisfying to see people complete project after project
thank you! it was super satisfying to me to!
Love this pink blouse! Did you draft the pattern yourself?
yes it's my own pattern!
I don’t know if the sweater your felting is actually wool, I don’t think wool would act like that if you’re trying to felt it it would become more rigid and structural and cling to its own fibres instead of shredding and falling apart.
I love visible mending, it's so cool 🐸
Hell yeah, we love to see people mending and altering their wardrobe as opposed to just sending things to the landfill! I love darning, crocheting, visibly mending and sewing things - so I love to see people like you making videos showcasing your projects like this to hopefully inspire others to take up the craft and be more environmentally conscious.
@@VictiniAppleSlice totally agree! i try as much as possible to keep everything circular
love hasan!! really enjoy the chill atmosphere of your vids :) v refreshing
@@scratch.mp3 thank you!
Watching Hasan while frogging a shirt? What a great combo, I'm so glad i found your channel!

ahh i wish i had made it! a friend gave it to me, it was her grandfather’s
rybka means little fish :D The author seems Polish. Love the strawberry sweater!
thank you! and good to know!
I love your videos, watched all of them and i’m in love with you craft. Much love from poland! Btw rybka means „little fish” in polish. So little fish pouches is a very suitable name 🩷🐟
@@simowyrerzyser thank you for watching! and that’s such a fitting name , makes a lot of sense now:)
Is the strawberry sweater your own pattern? It’s beautiful
@@EmmaCrabtree yes it is! i’m trying to write my own pattern for it, but it might take a while!
You should look up how to make a plying bracelet. That’s used to use up the last bits that are left over when plying <3
@@mauraccc6491 i’ve never heard of that! i’ll definitely take a look thanks!
Thanks for posting. I keep watching people do this and I'm so impressed. You make it look very simple and I'm sure it is but I keep psyching myself out. Love your color combos and casual approach.
Gorgeous! As a fellow fiber friend, crochet, you weaving in your ends is a labor not enough people will understand
absolutely!
The shot of the fabrication on display looks fantastic, it almost looks like the piece is trying to break free and get away from the constraints holding it :D
thank you so much for saying that! that was kinda my intention in the set up and i’m glad it came across
Kudos to you, then, @@zoe_among_other_things!😊
Awesome - so happy for you! I did art school here in tasmania and then I worked as the TA. Inspired by your fabric yarn :)
wow that’s so cool!
😍 I like the the piece and the end result is fabulous, keep up the good work 👍🏻
