@@kyudodetmold I am not critisizing, I am learning.
Instead of opening, it’s more like the bow hit the fingers while the fist tried to maintain the shape, hence open up the palm slightly just enough for the bow to spin, yet not so much that the bow drop significantly. If you intentionally open the first to let the bow spin, the movement of the finger will look different at the point of release and more often than not the bow will drop more than just this.

Please do not forget: Master Urakami here ist 50 years old at the time the film was shot and therefore deviates slightly from his ideal biomechanical form 20 years before. My late teacher, Mr. Inagaki, pointed out that every old Kyudoka has different requirements.

時代の流れを感じます‼️当時は射方の名手として、一家を成していました。しかしながら、時の流れが射方を統一して、現在の日本弓道連盟のやり方に変わりましたね⁉️良し悪しは別にして、流れは存続して欲しいですね⁉️

多分今弓を引いている人には、驚きだと思います。一般的な弓とは、いろいろな点で違いがあります。中ると言う結果では同じですが、プロセスにはあまりにも違いが存在します。稲垣先生は、少し前の時代の大家でした。現代は日本弓道連盟の、正面打ち起こしの射方に統一されましたので、一部の大学や地方、そして外国の方達が継承されています。
統一はされてないです
現代の正面打ち起こし射方とは違いますが、一つの射方として、長い歴史が有るのです。身体の動作や、引き方には、参考になる工夫もあり、練習になります。片方にこだらわず、両方の利点を知る機会が有れば、もっと弓が深まる気がしています。

We received the news today that Carolina passed her exam. With her consent, we decided to make this video publicly available. We think her performance is a good reference for anybody wishing to pass the 1. or 2. Dan.
This was his first visit to Wien. He left a seminar in Italy just to go with prof. Mori to the first seminar for the Austrians. He told us that we have seen him shoot many times but the Austrian hadn't. His rule was that only the best may teach the beginner. After that, any instructor could continue. He was at the age that he didn't know if he could come again. The thing is that if you have not seen a master of Inagaki's level shoot then you will never get the image of what a master is capable of. At 81 years, his hitting rate was 95 %.
This was his first, and unfortunately his last visit to Vienna. The seminar had to be organized in a short order, within 3 weeks or so, when the telephone call came from Hamburg. We heard later the other side of the story from Sato Sensei. He was a young student at the time, and he suddenly had to lead a seminar with the upset Italians.
@@momijikai962 Of course, it must have been a shock for him. Not that we noted it. But, of course, our interpreter, Manfred Speidel went with Inagaki sensei so they were a bit shorthanded with the language. Ken Kurosu was also there. Both are very good followers of our master and exceptionally good teachers!
