I do not see that head gasket failing in the near future
@@MadMax0417 not when it’s Solo built! 💪🔥
I had the 2009 model very strong

@kneegrow01 Know three people that own this vehicle with ZERO ISSUES except normal maintenance.

Hi can you give me some feedback after a year? I'm having issues with this mishimoto fans when I turn on my AC the car starts overheating, any help would be appreciated
Fortunately I haven’t had any issues since. Maybe try changing out the thermostat and checking if you have any leaks.
Bro I have the same issue. Car overheating when ac on . I have all mishimoto components
real ones know 2008 is where the reliability issue rumors started.
Wow wow 🤩 beautiful car i jus bought one
Same, got it in 2014, into my senior year of high school, 3 exes later, 7 jobs later, shipped over seas, 260k, new paint, and it’s been a loyal, iconic servant.
It’s a Toyota Corolla wagon with a different name.
If are thinking getting one or a pontiac vibe, which is same car- only get 2005-2008, with automatic transmissions, not rs versions . 2003-2004 had lots problems. The manual transmission wear out faster than the automatic, and the rs faster more horse power 1.8l were the same engines in celica that had oil supply problems , and piston oil consumption that blew up. If get just basic one they will last 300-400k miles as long do oil changes every 3-5k miles
I agree on the 2005-2008. But I love driving the manual transmission. And my 2005 Vibe has 200,000 miles with no transmission problems.
About to get one tomorrow!
I got one a week ago, the same but synchronic 5 gear 2008. I am so happy, I don't need more...
What are you going to do with your matrix?
I love my 2004 Toyota matrix XR bout to do a lil fixing up on it this spring new air filter new exhaust new hood new everything 🤷🏽♂️
Yes this is the best car you can buy. I know because i have been driving my own matrix for 10 years.
I had an 06 Matrix XRS 6 Speed Manual Transmission. I didn't keep it for long, it had 174,000kms I sold it a few months later. It was an odd car to own and drive, the ride height sat high off the ground and when you sat inside it, it felt like you were sitting on top of the car. The seat is high up, rather than low down to the floor.
I'm able to adjust my seat all the way down in mys and my is a Toyota matrix XR 2004
Here here 🏆
Where can I get that adapter?
where did you get that fan adaptor? I am running into the same problem.
I have the matrix with 188000 miles and this car is bulletproof, no issues at all.
Slow or not its always fun to be able to hit the track and get times to work towards.
Yea you’re definitely right!
What kind of car? Year? Engine? 240k miles or km? Everyone loves a good story.. help us love yours!
That’s what I’m saying K20 K24 Nissan Acura ?
@@PheazibbleKneads69sounds like a subaru tbh
2003 Subaru WRX stock EJ205, 240,000 miles!
Great video bruh.... keep it up.
Another good way is to be given a manual trans car. That was wrecked. And which you have to fix yourself. Then you learn to fix cars. And then if you want to go anywhere, you have to learn to drive a manual!
Okay I'm waiting, someone give me a free shitbox please!
How is the reliability on these compared to Honda and Toyota and is the maintenance expensive ?
Some good ass content 😂
I have hondas toyotas and subarus. Subarus need additional maintenance vs the other 2
Any stock sti 's with over 300,000 miles out there
How much hp u got on it
Still pretty much stock
Not a fan of Subarus but I have respect for them
550,000 klm - 2 clutches 1 rebuilt heads - and a fair few brakes and tires = 24 years forester 1999 - turbo. same engine .
Last model GC8 2000 - Australia - 180k going strong!
Yes Subaru imo too, are built to last. Myself the GC8 is me and definitely of STi spec. Here in New Zealand we received NEW from 1997 up until 2000, JDM spec WRX STi vehicles. Come the bug eye the GD wrx your car, wasn’t a fan but we did receive the STi versions but were not of JDM spec. Also in the late 2000 NZ already had the bug eye wrx and STi spec selling in dealerships.
Question for ya do you get better mpg by skipping gears like from 1st to 3rd to 5th or 2nd to 4th to 5th then going through all of the gears
There's usually no good reason in normal driving. I've had a car with a 'skip shift' feature and it made me use a lot of throttle input at _very_ low rpm...negating the fuel savings. This was a car with 420 ft-lbs of torque, too. In my estimation is was pointless for that car. In every other manual trans car I've owned...five others, 57 years old to brand new, and I can count on one hand when I went say 4th to 6th. I wouldn't worry about it.
Mad respect for you. I had BRZ for about 4 years, bought brand new but pushing 100k miles now. Didn't do a thing for the engine, fully upgraded brakes except for the brembo calipers it came with. Everything else has been strictly for PMs. Hardest part of my ownership ain't the repairs and PMs. It's the resisting temptation to not mod the car. But I do it plan to 'upgrade' if any parts fail and needs replacement, but so far it's been bulletproof so far. Oh, and tires. I don't compromise on tires even tho stock wheel is 7" wide and tire width is set at 215mm. still helps me enjoy frequent canyon runs and occational track days/autocross.
I wanna find one, extremely low miles. Buy it, clean it up, all the support mods and put it away and barely drive it.
02 rs with 240k miles. Love my car
Wow . That took off sounding like 3rd gear start .. Good thing zero concern for any rocks actually hitting the pain
🤷🏻♂️ send it now worry later haha
That car would get eaten alive on any real rally course. Lol mud flaps and an exhaust.
Have you seen the engine I’m building for it? Haha this is still stock!
What's the average life of 2007 Toyota Matrix / Corolla water pump. . The car has 159K miles and I have no idea if the water pump has ever been replace and Toyota history record shows up to 90000 miles. Do you think it has been replaced once? It's not leaking. Car belongs to my son and has been very reliable but he is planning to take a long summer trip.
I have owned my 03 bugeye for 14 years, just under 300k on it, keeps running, burns oil but original engine.
I have a 2005 toyota matrix xr 5 speed manual. I got it 2 years ago with 147, on it with new clutch and know it has 163, great little firecracker 🧨 and for only a 12 gallon tank and to change oil and filter its about 3-1/2 qts with filter 😊 amazing little car firecracker 😂 wow! How many miles on that car was 223 thousand miles wow! 😂
Any problem with the transmission? I got one a week ago and it can't get into 3rd gear, I knew that but the price was $2225 so couldn't refuse the offer. Now I plan to fix the transmission with someone. If you ever had a similar situation and suggest any idea please let me know.
Was a while ago but in Australia I work at a subaru specialist we’ve got a customer that owns a 99 wrx has 680,000kms not miles everything original gearbox, engine completely stock ej205 goes to show that if you take care of it do your maintenance right these cars will last forever
Cleaner than my 09 STi xD
My 02 wrx has 228k miles, runs strong, no leak or burn oil. Shifts great too, wanna see if i can go to 300k.
I just bought one but the clutch was bad would you recommend something to keep my car well I really like it
@@MsJorgiyo Do regular maintenance on time and check your timing if it has not been done. Use only premium gas.
Just picked up my 3rd, an 02 Bugeye wrx wagon. 192k from an older couple and it runs well enough I can't wait to mod but I also enjoy how nice it goes without any hiccups. It's so quiet 🤣
My 2003 got rod knock
my 269,000 klm saw 8,500 rpm spun 2 rod ends - only a little on start up hammering = brand new ej207 ra sti jdm short block fitted now 6,200 klm.
DA and a Subie, same here lol 🤘🤘🤘
