I fly a Piper Comanche 250 for fun and business. The Comanche is the perfect plane for my missions and an awesome GA plane to fly. I hope to give some insight of what its like to fly your own plane for fun and business.

Glad to see the latest video! Love Joe!
Nice vid! I got hungry.
Well filming your face for most of your video is no exactely thrilling.
Looking to up my wings from a Warrior to Comanche.
I have a suggestion. Prior to starting the engine you said you had the landing light and strobe on. Try having everything off prior to engine start then turning everything on when the airplane is started and the alternator is running. This has 2 benefits. 1. You want as much power as possible to start the engine. Loading it down with heavy draw lights will only retard the rpm during ignition making it more difficult. 2. Sling shot voltage can reach as high as 40 volts or greater. Remember voltage and current are inversely proportional. So putting 40 volts, even only for a millisecond, can shorten the life of even a light bulb. Side note: it’s weird seeing a Comanche N number that doesn’t end in P. 😂 I love my Comanche. If you would like to see it I post videos every once in a while under “avionics guy”. Thanks for posting the video. Stay safe!
Your kids are "Too Cool" for you. They don't realize how good they have it lol.
Beautiful paint on that bird! Gotta love the Comanche. I’m a little bias though!!
But
Just discovered this channel. I fly out of Lewis myself. Ever been up around door county, WI? Planning to go late this week.
Hi Vincent - I have not been up that way yet. I hear great things. What are some good airports to fly in to?
Looking forward to seeing more flights
Pop up clearance is great when you have weather at your destination that changes very quickly
This is my first time on your channel and I’m a Piper Comanche fan and my favorite is Flying IFR cross country and yours is a nice one
First start of the day you should always prime prior to start. I see so many people who just start and keep that starter cranking with no results !
"What would we normally be doing?" "180." 😱 That's mph not knots, right?! I'm looking at a '58 Comanche 250 ATM, it looks like a perfect family plane!
Yes. All the gauges in N123HM are mph.

Love the Comanches !! Mines a twin !! A dream to fly!!
Could you do a bit of an informative video for us on your plane sometime. What year, engine size etc. She,s beautiful
You guys and gals all a funny bunch lol
Just recently found your channel. Nice work. We fly out of the NW Indiana area. Fun to see familiar sights.
I don't think I'd like to fly with these guys
Keep on posting! Been enjoying seeing what the Comanche can do.
Great Vidio! Just wondering what size IPad you have and what mount you use, please?
RAM ball mount with a full size IPAD Air.
That was fun!
Love my 250, it’s a great family plane. Might move up to a twin Comanche someday but the 250/260 is such a sweet spot in single engine aircraft, it’d be hard to get rid of!
Beautiful plane. Shoulder seat belt for the front passengers would be a nice addition.
Yep John. They are high up on the wish list.
@@flyingwino9850 Get on that ASAP. Shoulder Harnesses are an absolute necessity. Flying without them is inviting trouble. Protect yourself and your loved ones by installing them as soon as you can👍
nice plane! do you know which company who remolded the interior?
Nice video! We did a similar flight in March. It was a bit early in the year unfortunately and most everything was still closed in Saugatuck. Nice flight, though and the people at KBIV were great.
I also have a 61 250, amazing aircraft. I purchased it only 6 months after my ppl, it was a bit of a learning curve. I don't want to pick everything in your videos apart, but I'd like to leave you with my suggestions on the biggest two things I see: 1. Please give your callsign on every radio transmission. The second half of this video was better, but the first video I watched was worse. The controllers haven't given you a hard time yet, but things can go south quickly if they don't realize who they are talking to. You probably don't realize you're doing it, hopefully this nudge helps. Oh, and after the first call, controllers will shorten your callsign to the last 3 characters. Use just "3HM" after that to keep things consistent with how they say it (optional). Stuffing the whole 123HM in quickly sounds like 123DM to me. 2. I have dual G5s they they are awesome, I recommend adding the second one. Since you only have the one now, and still have a vacuum att indicator and turn and bank (different than a turn coordinator btw), I'm betting the shop installed it under the HSI STC and you're reverting it to an attitude indicator. This is possibly legal while flying VFR, but IFR vertical and horizontal navigation needs to be on a legal primary indicator. You're using the backup indicators on the attitude indicator mode. If you're staying within IFR limits that way, no one would normally know the difference, unless of course you post a whole bunch of evidence of this on youtube! I think the chances are slim of anything coming of it, but I wanted to mention it in case you didn't realize the legal issues with this.
Best airplane in the world for the money. Don’t know why lunatics would put a hundred and fifty grand into a “Sling” toy when Comanches better in every way and good ones available on market for around 60 grand. These planes are worth every penny you put into them for upgrades.
Nice airplane, flight, and video. Good to see CRG, my plane was based there in the mid 00s.
That's a hike!
Nice landing! Y’all had a great time!
Seriously if you’re not flying a Comanche you don’t know what you’re missing
Beautiful Comanche. What do you see on your VSI when fully loaded?
Hi Ken. Are you referring to the vertical speed on take off? If so, this Comanche sees 1K+ ft min fully loaded in cooler temps and low DA. Warmer temps and altitude will vary the VSI on take off. Thanks for watching and the question.
Beautiful aircraft. I love the Comanche.
Thank you Ken.
Nice landing........
It’s nice to see a smooth touchdown in a Comanche. I see so many RUclips videos where the pilot plops the plane onto the runway. It takes finesse but I know from many landings in Comanches that it can be done, and done consistently.
Thanks Robert. Lots of practice...
Great video, looks like y’all had a blast.....
Awesome vid...on the list for 2021! Nice greaser (landing)!
Very nice video. Enjoy your great kids before they’ve grown up and left. They seem to be great young men.
Thank for watching Joe. So far so good.
