Wave A Flag (Original Song)
This song is finally coming to life for me. Recorded this in my van while camped out on top of a butte in the middle of the most beautiful part of the Glenn Highway north of Palmer. Captions are not perfect. I hope you dig it. #songwriter #originalsong #alaskamusic #vanlife

Singer needs more volume on mic.
Thanks. It’s probably just the impromptu quality of the cellphone video when it was taken.
❤❤❤❤I love
Thank you!
Genius!
Thanks man!

LOL
👍🎸
🤘🏻 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Nice one, Mate!
Aw shucks. Thanks man!!
Great song, Dude!
Thanks, man! I'm looking forward to releasing a "studio" recording of it!
Bought one in 2000 fantastic amp
Far out! IMHO you can't beat Fender amps.
We need more Budnik
You shall receive!
Sounds really good! Looking forward to hearing more!
Thanks bro! Stay tuned 😎
Very nice! Wait…did…is that…a matching slide in Wabash Blue?!!! 😊
Not quite by accident ;)
Love this things. Wanted to hear your take, thanks for sharing! Alex Yacovelli, Songwriter NYC
It’s definitely helped the quality of my recordings, I think. Cheers!
lol that’s a strap button, butthead. ❤
“Bud-head” ;)
Does Dharma like it?
She loves it!
Thank god some people still watch the sopranos
@@themasculinismmovement it’s a great show.
whoa, whoa, whoa... You should not speak into a ribbon mic like that without a pop filter. The ribbon is delicate and will break or stretch when exposed to plosives. The ribbon on that thing is probably already sagging from that onslaught.
I am highly unqualified for this RUclips channel. Cheers.
Good stuff. 👍
Thanks!
Wilco has been my sonic shoulder for over 20 years. So I hear you. I think you will enjoy the Wilco song quiz on my channel. A.M. - The Whole Love
Cool! I'll check it out.
2:45 I really want one!!!!! That’s all I need for amplification! 😊
Don’t wait! Life is short.
@@JohnBudnikBand I know! I’m 70. I have to wait because there was some IT crash and my bank was targeted. A few days? Thanks!
Cheers! 🍻
Wabash Blue!
It’s a nice color!
Great review, thank you!
🤘🏻
Sounds good
Thanks 🙏🏻!
Just looking for champion videos 2020 with hindsight you about to get a whole lot of additional practice time
😂 yeah, totally. How innocent I was then. 😂
A ribbon mic is not a dynamic mic. It's a ribbon, I think you meant is it a passive or active mic. Also, to clarify, you can use a preamp with any mic. Again, I think you might be referring to "phantom power". I know it's just words, but I think it's important to clarify. Edit: turns out I'm wrong about a ribbon not being a dynamic mic, you were correct about that after I researched it a bit. They do, however, make active ribbon mics so you don't have to pump those full of gain to get a usable level.
Thanks man. I screwed this video up. Other viewers in the comments definitely let me know. 😂 Quantum, Phantom… slip of the tongue. Cheers!
@JohnBudnikBand I took the quantum as a joke. Lol I thought that was great. I appreciate the video, though, as I'm trying to get as many sound samples from ribbon mics from various users. I'm trying to figure out what mic might be good for my voice to get rid of my siblance. I am tired of spending minutes to hours trying to get rid of it on my mics I use currently, if a ribbon mic doesn't work, I may just try some pricey software.
I usually use a de-esser plugin when I mix
Peep the "Cat in the Case" in the background! :)
Oh that’s Dharma 😂
Word up
Thanks man!
This guitar is Recording King's revivial of the old 1930's flat top box that was the axe of so many of the old blues players. The painted on fret markers were typical of that era. Just on a guess, I would say Recording King's marketing department looked at the Gretsch Jim Dandy, and said, "Yep, we can do that."
💯
❤
❤️
Nice one, a nice trick is to only play when breathing out and to stop playing when breathing in. Can help to give the phrasing a more vocal quality.
That’s next level…
Dude You need to tone down The energy level
In some of my other postings on my other social media pages I say “(I can’t get no) Satisfaction…from this sickness…” Been under the weather for about 2 weeks now. 🤒
I thought this was nick mullen lol
The comedian?
Nah it’s dick mullet
You are just like a little kid playing compulsively, you should introduce the instrument and show and explain all the functions, looked very stupid....
I don't want to grow up...
Caught me off guard w the hey there buttheads lmao
It’s actually “Bud-heads.” Like my last name :P
Just a piece of info for beginners looking for budget harps to start with. The Fender Blues Deluxe will allow you to bend the notes. With no problem at all. Bending is kind of the soul of the instrument, so its quite importart thing to learn. And most questions of beginners is "can i bend a fender or an easttop? " Yes, Yes you can. Good luck folks! 👍
Thanks for the comment! Absolutely!
there has been 3 revisions made to this amp over the years so 4 versions , yours looks like the first version and less desirable , which is partly why there is a price difference among them , but prices vary greatly on 2 amps exactly the same lots of times ...
Interesting!
@@JohnBudnikBand yea , it's strange that the first version is american made and the later versions were/are made in mexico yet are more desirable , they made changes to the drive channel and upgraded the speakers from what i've read ..
I was planning on taking mine in to get is serviced by a local shop.
@@JohnBudnikBand there are some modifications they can do to it that don't cost a lot of money that are suppose to make it a much better amp , but i have no experience with it just read about it over the years, that being said if your happy with it i wouldn't worry about it especially if your using pedals with it ..
Far out!
Sorry iIm wrong ; a tube for phase inverter and 2 output power tubes. Preamps are solid state.
Thanks for the comment. It’s a unique item.
It is a Solid State amp ,not tube amp
Thanks for the comment.
Mesmerizing!
Thank you 🙏🏻

Cool stuff bro.
Thanks, Jimi!
I think this is my favorite roll yet. Nice pics!
Thanks, EB! Those Alaskan colors are pretty sweet!
Is it even playable at home? I’d imagine even in that space between 0 and 1 it’s loud af. 😂😂😂😂
Right?! 😂 I have it staged at a buddy’s place where he’s got a separate building for a jam space.
I got rid of my 2x12 because I had to pay rent and couldn't afford it at the time. The place I pawned it at no longer had it when I tried to get it back :(
I hate it when life gets in the way of fun. Sorry to hear this brother
The Hot Rod Deville is a good amp. However, they are plagued with certain problems and issues that an amp repair tech MUST address. If it's working, you are lucky. If you want it to continue to work, it needs a qualified tech to go through it. I own one myself. ALL Hot Rod Deville amps need attention. There are crucial flaws in the circuit from the factory that will cause detrimental damage over time. All easily repaired if you catch them early. Letting it go will, in effect, literally let the amp go (away).
Very interesting. I’ll have to do some further research on the amp.
Care to elaborate on the issues?
@@dearvavy3112 Do a Google search for -common Fender Hot Rod amp issues- You'll find the answers.
I love my beer in a jar.
It's a great way to drink!
Explain the caption
They're just a band that I never discovered until I joined my friend's Dead coverband here in Alaska. Since then, I've had to listen a lot of Grateful Dead, and learn how to play a lot of licks and riffs on their songs and covers they did like this one of Mama Tried by Merle Haggard. Anyways, I enjoy their music and like playing it, but I very much come from a more bluesy/rock vibe and background.
@@JohnBudnikBand sounds cool, at first the name made me think of radiohead...
Radiohead is great stuff.
I have the Minnie Bucker in matte black. The secret to getting great tone out of it is to tune it down a whole step from standard. I record it through a mic- I plug it into a line 6 Pod Go for live stuff. It’s easy to get some pretty cool tones either way
Interesting! I’ll have to give that a shot!
