Pattern 14 Stock Refinish

My process for refinishing a stock, on this one it was the Pattern 14 Rifle. My apologies the music I had in place for the sped up section with the application of stripper is missing, there was a technical issue and to fix I would have to completely reupload the video for a third time. www.thearmoryhub.com

IMA reproduction M35 German helmet unboxing
The X95 absolutely requires a gas adjustment. Like the Tavor 7. The Tavor 7 fixes every issue that the X95 has. That IWI refuses to address the "elephant in the room" signifies that they just don't care. The X95 is the ideal bullpup platform. That one improvement would absolutely crush the bullpup market. Without the gas adjustment, when you use a suppressor, you will kill the rifle in approximately 4000 rounds.
How much does this weapon cost? Please reply in Arabic or translate.
Depends on location and laws. I have had this one for years, but recently I have seen them go for between 1500 and 2100 usd
Wow nice helmet
Not bad, though the near-glossy color is totally unrealistic. Anyway, it's only a reproduction of a helmet that still can be found, even if it's more and more expensive. Don't forget that, though many were lost or destroyed, more than 30 millions m 1935, 1940 and 1942 were made. In my opinion, any reproduction of this helmet, as good as it can be, is worthless, only good for reenactment
Mine with the 3 position metal trigger housing had way too big of a gap for my liking . I love the black and green but the plastic one just fit much better no gaps or movement .
Junk
So a barely functioning space gun. got you😅
@@Tyler-px1tp never had an issue with it
Great color choice, I love it ❤
How much did it cost
About 70 dollars
Teddy Roosevelt hated the rod bayonet and insisted on a separate blade bayonet. The ordinance board adapted the rifle to use the Kraig bayonet.
If I remember off the top of my head, my notes are not in front of me, he wrote to the ordinance department and told them the rod bayonet was too flimsy and could easily break and ordered them to make the change
@@Thearmoryhub same answer but different words.
教絆?
It’s a school marking, I used to own one of those
I thought that as well however I couldn't find any matching school markings
@@Thearmoryhub the IJA and IJN never marked their stocks from the various books I've read, I have one that is damn good, ill look at it and let you know, almost every marked stock like that is either a school or a parade and non functional. Does it have rifling?
The rifling in the barrel is mint, I'm wondering if the markings are not japanese but Chinese
not Chinese thanks to someone from Japan they were able to get me closer to its meaning. The Kanji translates to Kyozuna, or bond
Banzai!!!!!
I cannot.
Beautiful rifle
Thank you I've had this rifle for years and I absolutely love the history in the stock
Cherry blossom ?
Honestly I am not sure what the markings are, I have been doing research on it for a while and cant figure out the markings, it does not match trainers or rifles transfered to military schools. So I am hoping someone that is familiar with it might see the short
@@Thearmoryhub good deal
Wait is tht Spanish helmet original whts it called mine has the same badge type stamp in the front
Yes the one I had before unboxing was an original Spanish helmet
Samir I have the same helmet thought mine was an original mine has the same stamp type stamp badge in the front
I’ve never had a problem with mine since the first shot
You still have the rifle? How did it perform?
Unfortunately I haven't had it out yet, I am ready for range time on it, I will include video of it when I talk about it next
Are they trying to fool people into thinking it was made in Germany?
I got a ptr 51p. Check everything out some little parts might be broken!
i picked one up, they arent bad, my plan is to use it for practice on weathering my M35
The PTR 91 GI I bought in 2012 had a much better box … get a wide hand guard and a bunch of magazines …don’t waste your money on the collapsing buttstock, looks cool but real tears your shoulder up …enjoy
Any suggestion on where to get the wide handguard, I've been looking
It always amazes me... How people blame the gun... When it's their fault, it's not running correctly 🤦♂️ You need to change the stock spring, if you want to shoot weak azz bird shot through these...even the "genuine" m4 can't run BS, without the spring change. That said... Who buys a combat style shoty and shoot birds with it 🤷♂️
Don't know who shoots burd shot, never used bird shot, I use 00 buck
A little late to the party, here, but let me chime in. The 1st thing I did with my Panzer M4 was read the Owner's manual where it clearly says to break in the gas system with 100 high brass shells. I used the very same Italian ammo you did. At the end of this butt-whipping :) my M4 would, and does, feed fire and extract everything I load in it, down to that crappy Walmart red-hulled skeet shot. I often will mix the rounds in the tube, buck, slug and skeet and the M4 eats it all. 100% reliable and fun to shoot.
Damn, poor bro needs some soap for those mechanic hands.
Look up the video about the argo gas system. In the Benelli m4 owner's manual it explicitly reads over 8 times to NOT use lubricant on the gas systems/pistons or get them wet. They soak them in the factory for transportation/long-term storage purposes. There is a few videos about this. Worth a look into for functionality/feeding issues 🤷. Clean that up and dry it up, then try her out. 😁😁
I've had a Cetme Clone, C308 with wood and G3 SEF lower, And a PTR91 All ran flawlessly C308 is the one I've kept and was the best value by far
Years ago I had a C308 and absolutely loved it, I ended up trading it for a 1903 at the time.
If and when you do the Swiss Vetterli Rifle, I'll be watching. I converted mine to center fire and load necked down Lebel Brass.
If you ever want to "age" your helmet liner don't use WD40 or gun oil, use avocado oil, no smell and it works just as well. In 1940 helmet makers were required to paint the helmets with paint containing aluminum oxide to give them a rougher less light-reflective finish, the M35s were repainted at that time. So if you want to repaint your M35 you can buy powdered aluminum oxide to mix in the paint field gray paint that was used in 1940 and after.
The spanish helmet isnt m35, it is z42 helmet original.
I own a Spanish helmet i bought this one from the company as a m35 reproduction
@@Thearmoryhubthem you got scammed. Thats a Spanish helmet.
@@Thearmoryhubthat is indeed Spanish
You are right about the Spanish helmet, It was not my intent nor did I say the spanish helmet was a M35, At the time I did not know the designation of the Model Z M42 Helmet, thank you for the correction.
The M35 I unboxed is a reproduction helmet from IMA the spanish helmet I showed was the m42 model z
Beautiful work, my friend!
I wouldn’t buy a clone, NEVER, wondering for $450 dollars what kind of materials they are using to fabricate the shotgun, the only think this tirkish companies is stole the designs of another shotguns, they do not have the talent to do their own designs, instead they stole them, i go to the REAL THING, the Benelli M4, buying this clone is like buying a fake rolex, i prefer nothing if is not the real deal, shame on the fabricant and shame on the people who buy this trash 👎
Glad to see an Honest review !!! It's a range toy. Good Job on the Vid !!! Tip : don't waste your $$ on low brass, even the 1300fps type.......the plastic hull will more than likely stick in the chamber, causing a stovepipe.
The quality control of most Turk guns is horrid.......yes, there are a few top tier Turks, but the majority that have flooded the American market are trash. The "branded" Turk made guns like Stoger & CZ, Winchester are a better bet. I get it on the "cool " factor with the cheap price, but put the upgrades in this & you'll have a bunch of $$$ tied up in what might turn out to be a " Turkturd " !!! a few more bucks gets you the new A-300 Patol Tactical or the New Mossy 340......those guns will shoot !!!
You can get the m40/55 contract ones. Some were produced by Quist in 1940 for Finland
ONLY in a Size 64 shell... Period
@@Eric_Von_Yesselstyn they are also good targets for the range
@@GarrisonsMadHouse I have restored and converted a large pile of them for Reenactors that cannot find a Size 64 shell, with all the correct curves. There are literally 3 very minor differences in the M40/55 from the wartime German M40. The average guy would never even spot those differences and one of those differences would require he be a metallurgist. Using them for targets is short sided, they will go up in price just like every other helmet that stops being available and I've already made enough to turn that into REAL wartime German Helmets for my collection. It's been a 100% win/win the whole way through.
@@Eric_Von_Yesselstyn so have I but nobody wants them
@@GarrisonsMadHouse You can't just grab a can of spray paint and call it a restoration and conversion. I Bring them all down to bare metal, knock out dents. I then use era appropriate oil based enamel paints and moderately used aluminum oxide mixed in the paint for texturing, as was done in the factories for the M40.. Then I bake the helmets in a paint oven for a period of time. After a month of curing I add "quality" M31 Reproduction liners and split pins. After that they will either get No decal, get a decal, or get a Camouflage paint job. Some get artificially aged, some don't. I get what IMA charges for their MODERN repros, the ones that are all painted and aged but their repros only come in size 68 shells. They have to be done with quality and look correct, they can't be painted with a friggin Spray Can and Battleship gray paint, that's what everyone gets wrong. If you don't have a HVLP gun and big air compressor, you can't get them right. Mine are closer to the original helmets than ANY repro on the market today with craptastic acrylic paint, end of story.
Did you get this from Epic military
IMA
@@Thearmoryhubthanks I’ve got the same I misread the title 😂but thank you anyway
The reproduction helmets always get the skirt and flair wrong, the skirt is always short on repos, some worse than others, but this ima one is a bit better, when I was younger I used to wonder where the film makers got their helmets, thinking they were real, cross of iron, Stalingrad etc, but now I can clearly see that they are replica, just by the skirting alone because the genuine German helmets perfect in shape, and especially the M42 helmets, which when I was younger I didn't know there was a m35, M40, M42, I just thought they were all the same, but thankfully because of internet we know a lot more, I'm 61 and grew up having to use the exchange and mart, back in the day when you could get an iron cross 1st class for £40, or a k98 bayonet for £18, but nowadays the militaria collecting world is ruined by greed, everything is out of the normal guy's price range, and especially German helmets, they're even selling bits of rusted helmet skirt, commanding £7\8 hundred for a so called original Normandy camo helmet, which always have the REPO, liners and chinstraps, basically an original shell painted and aged and repo liner, but the sad thing is that people, especially the younger generation of collectors are paying these prices and getting stung, and the information is here on the internet, I wish we had internet when I was growing up, the world's you're oyster nowadays, for ANYTHING, including information on the fake militaria etc, but like I said the ima repo is the best I've seen so far, good luck with your collecting mate, now maybe with you tube you may be able to buy a real one soon.
The lowest I would ever go when it comes to gas operated semi-auto shotguns is a mossberg 930. These Turkish made shotguns are horrible! The gun shops are full of them.
Can you show a police helmet??
I always replace the crappy liner with a more accurate one.
Thanks for being honest! Cheers!
I sure do love mine, runs like a champ, bought a taran tactical light spring in it and it shoots cheap Walmart ammo
Repop?😳 Some of Ima helmets are spaceball dark helmet oversized!😆 Jman
These are good reproductions and IMA shows a gun shot test and the helmet holds up very well. I did observe that behind the leather and liner band (they are maker marked) there is no felt as the originals so I rubber cement in a band. These are fun to decal, paint and age - for the price you can not go wrong!
Where did you buy the shotgun? I shot the same buckshot through mine and it ran perfect, 50 rounds or so.
