You’re a hero!!!
poor syd, the rot had set in already..its all in the eyes...
It would have been better if Syd Barett had eaten apples and oranges instead!!! Unfortunately Syd took too many drugs!! Unfortunately he had the wrong friends.. He hung out with junkies too much.. A real tragedy for Syd and the whole family!!! He was still taking drugs on his 2 solo albums from 1970.. Drug addiction is an illness.. On his solo albums Syd was on the verge of schizophrenia.. Psychiatry wasn't ready back then.. Syd obviously wasn't ready for therapy either... He didn't get out of the car 🚙.. Syd could have become something.. He failed as a painter and musician.. I'm interested in how Syd lived with his illness ??? Unfortunately there are no more books in German...
Syd wouldn't have been Syd with no drugs.
And the madcap laughs and opal were great albums
How did you determine which was the positive and which was the negative on the plug to the chair?
The Harness on the chair is actually labeled for me. It was the chord that I had to guess on LOL.
You just need to run a water sprinkler on the ground for a few minutes first. The water acts as a conductor. Turn the water off before using the charger and don't stand anywhere near the wet ground or you will get a shock. The water in the ground will act like a conductor. If you tried to do this on very dry ground it likely would not work at all. It requires some moisture to work well. You should know that playing with electricity and water is a very dangerous safety hazard. I do not recommend it.
Yeah, the ground was moist but not wet enough. In addition to that, I only used a 12 volt chord. Gonna do a part 2
use a defibrillator
Would I be able to just disconnect the batteries and put them onto a trickle charger? I'm terrified of messing around with electricity, partially from my own ignorance.
Yes. I just didn't have one handy. It works just fine. Hook up the trickle and let it run for about an hour and then you charger should pick it up
I hate it when people steal other people ideas --and claim them for their own.
How else do you pass knowledge when other wise people not knowing that party would be able to learn.?
Huh? I didn't claim anything. I said my grandfather taught me. He was like 100 so I definitely didn't think of it and neither did my grandfather and no one claimed so?
don't bother citing the supposed original, capital R
@@ZEROxDEADDEAD huh? I'm confused
@@menudo666 I was speaking to the commenter; he's accusing you of something with zero reference of proof to his claim let alone proof itself
The funny thing is that wood f.p.r.r engine is matched with the two blue and yellow remotes you have. The picture on those remotes is of the front train but the wood carrier is the one that powers it
Right on
This is amazing! Worked for me!! Thank you!!!
I wouldn’t be able to spend ANY money on the stuff you have here; as I’m a musician and also a recovering heroin addict , just got a year clean and I’m still completely broke! But- very grateful and always like to live vicariously thru people like yourself. I’m definitely gonna check out your videos you mentioned on reel to reel cause that’s just so awesome to me . But when I just spent $330 on a top hihat only…well, I need to keep my priorities on what will help me sound better on gigs. BUT I am a tech nerd and former apple certified technician and, always messing around with electronics. Sounds like you’ll have your hands full embracing a new (old but new) format , and putting some love into those players! Keep doing your thing though and thanks for the video, from Philadelphia!
Dude, I am poor. I get things for next to nothing and fix em. Congrats on the year. I use to spend 150 bucks a week on beer and 90 on cigarettes. I quit both and have a lil extra money now but most all of my stuff i paid next to nothing for. A year ago I didn't even have a good reciever or speakers but have somehow aquired 9 good recievers and several sets of speakers. I go to goodwill everyday and garage sales when in season. I have found several things like nice subs and then get on FB marketplace and do some trading or hit up the old people I know who have electronics laying around
The CD was only really starting to catch on, when Sony released the mini disc, which really is just repackaged CD technology. The reason you could fit so much on it was due to it using a lossy compression (ATRAC) something like an earlier version of the MP3 format. The big advantage was the ability to record your own music IMO, also it made the players and recorders more compact too.
My love for it just comes from the ease of recording And all the editing that you can do much like CDRW. I also love riding around in my car with the portable
@@menudo666so you can just do line in I guess to your car system or whatever you have in your car? Is there any static or interference?
@@JordanHowellMusic I just connected from the earphone Jack to the auxiliary input on my car deck. It sounds great. It has a little remote control unit that I keep clipped nearby so I can control it. I can imagine I'm the only one within a 200 mile radius rolling around with a mini disc player in my car
I tried doing this now it stopped turning all together, how do I fix it? 😅
Did you turn at the wrong way ?
Try adding more info in the description of the video. Like which bulb so I don’t have to go back in the video and find when you said it
Ok. Thanks
It worked!!! Had the trains in a tote for 10 years. Put new batteries in and lights came on but no action. After a couple whacks, good as new. Cool!!
You are awesome! Thank you!!!!
i have a lot but they are somewhere in my attic and i only have a few right now but 2 need controllers and i cant find the controllers but they're somewhere in my house
Fr thought you were about to polish your vinyl. 😵💫😂
😁
He was probably using higher voltage. That’s about 5 volts going in. Good video!
What do I do
Watch the video again? Try a trickle charger? All I got..
Please I live in Ghana and I am having a it difficult charging my battery. It can't charge
The battery very well could be dead all together with no bringing it back sorry to say. Mine were completely drained but not dead thats how this worked for me and maybe not for you
Yo were did you get this I want one 😂
Nice
I can’t believe they aired this! Coming from a fan!😢🥹🙄
Well they did and it was great
Sid may have been impossible but look at him. besides the music, He created that look that SO many copied through the years. HE was the most interesting person up there.
When I was first doing this and I went through taking my headlight and high beam light out first, thinking it was one of those, before realizing it was underneath, I had to kind of “break free” both lights, when Turning them to release them, because “I guess” they hadn’t been change in a while, but with how awkwardly place the turn signal bulb is placed, I’m really struggling to get it to turn “counter clockwise” because I can’t get enough leverage to turn with anything else but the muscles in my fingers, and I can’t get it to release. Guess I’m gonna take the vehicle to AutoZone and see if they have better luck.
Oh my goodness I had this problem and your fix worked!!!!! I just tried it, gently tapped the engine on the ground on its side and the wheels immediately started turning! Thank you so much!!!
OMG it worked!!!! I can't believe it!!!
it Worked!!! awesome!! thanks so much!!!
This set has been sitting in my garage for 20 years. I tried to fix it--had the same exact experience you described and this worked!! The red train is not as fast as the silver one. Maybe I'll look for another video that'll fix that! Thanks SO MUCH!! This is a great toy.
Actually, I should mention for the next person...the second train didn't work after knocking it a few times and then I spun the back wheels a few times back and forth and then it worked. Good luck!
In 1968 (I think?) my older brother got me a swell portable radio for Christmas. It was a heavy sucker, a Highwave (PV-619) six band, twenty transistor, twin speaker, solid state job. I still use it as my cellar "music system" while at the workbench. Relegated to mostly FM music now. It's still fun to check out the other bands. Interesting video, thanks.
easy fix. I used to fix these and most electronics of the early 70s to late 80s. Nice to see someone who takes the time to show the younger generation how stuff was made and repaired back in the day.
I had one nice rail love those oval speakers radios had the dial illuminates too I used to collect radios now into Bluetooth speakers these days just love all types of audio nice video
Why did you bother working on it if it’s just going to be shelf jewelry? 🤷🏼
Its a hobby of mine is why
Jan. 2024- Incredible! I had 6 trains in my garage for over 19 years. None of them worked until I dropped them. Some of them several times and pretty hard. All 6 work now!! Thanks for the advice. I was ready to throw them out.
10 years not 19 😂
Nice old radio. Worthy of a second chance.
Well done
I fixed two of our trains today using this and have told my siblings how to fix there’s for there kids. Thanks for the advice helped to save a couple more trains
Heck yeah!
I thought you were joking! Yes this really does work! Thanks a million!
I neverJoke when it comes to GeoTrax!🤪
Thank you!
Did you have to disconnect the battery in order to fix the wire on the seat?
In hind sight I probably should have but I did not..😁
I used to work at a grocery store and we had something similar. They would lock up randomly all the time. People would be shopping in the middle of the store and the cart would lock up. Super pain in butt
Good luck, the store I work at has had something like that for years, and all it seems to do is ensure that none of the carts roll smoothly due to the squared off sides from people pushing the carts anyways and shoplifters simply bringing their own carts to shoplift with.
We don't allow people to bring in their own carts. Like I said, it's not fool-proof but it's a start
@@menudo666 It took us a while to get to that point, but it winds up being a lot of work and without being able to get a police response, it's bandaids at best.
My left side is so damn hard to turn to get it out😂
Make sure you're turning at the right way.
This worked on 3 of 4 of our trains! THANK YOU!!!
Why would my remotes make noise but the trains don’t
Does the trains light work? If so, Try somewhat gently banging the train on a hard surface
The trains really don't make noise besides the motor running
Hi I need a little bit of help, I cannot seem to find it on the left side
Right under the headlamp socket
@@menudo666 is it easy to reach ?
I was able to. Down a lil bit though
Thank you so much, I never thought it would work but now I have a running train!
Question been having this problem for awhile but could this also cause a parasitic draw if thw wire/connection is bad? Unlikely but I keep having something drawing from my battery.
It definitely does draw from your battery
