Hey guys! I wrote out the pattern to try and help out anyone who might have gotten a bit lost. I used a weight 4 yarn and a 3.5 mm hook tho I think a 3 mm might have worked better R1 mr sc 7 (7) R2 inc in every st (14) R3 sc, inc (21) R4 sc back loop only (21) R5-R8 sc a round (21) R9 sc, sc, inc (28) R10 sc, sc, sc, inc (35) R11 sc, sc, sc, sc, inc (42) R12 sc a round (42) - bind off and flip inside out -sl st with another color of yarn around R9 for the braid around the outside (Hope this helps! The patter written on screen doesn't make much sense so here's the pattern written down! MR, 7sc inside (7) Rnd 1: inc all around (14) Rnd 2: *sc, inc* (21) Rnd 3: 21sc in back loop only Rnd 4-7: 21sc in both loops Rnd 8: *sc, sc, inc* (28) Rnd 9: *sc, sc, sc, inc* (35) Rnd 10: *sc, sc, sc, sc, inc* (42) Rnd 11: 42sc (42) Switch to color for band, sl st around to connect to hat. Sewing it may be easier, I didn't try that tho.

um definitely not easy and simple, instructions are not clear, and the pattern is complicated enough, so being more descriptive about the types of increases is necessary
