The best part of 23 is between Ozark, Ark and highway 16 heading toward Huntsville and Eureka Springs, about Cass and the Mulberry River!

Rick, the ride going west out of Mena is called the Talimena Senic By way. It goes from Mena across the crest of the Quatchita mountains. It's the only mountain range in the US that runs east/west! There are no gas stops between Mena , Ark and Talihina, Ok , so make sure you'he got enough fuel for about 40-60 miles. I can't remember the exact distance!

Didnt get to this year, I will definitely be making this ride this next year. Bike had other plans for me this year. Mostly visiting the shop. ;p Rick, I get around 100 miles to the tank, but I am going to buy an external reserve tank with my bonus this year so the trip should go hand in hand with a piece of mind.

Maggie, I've done the ride many times. I live in Nebraska and I ride to Arkansas every fall for the third week in October with my wife to attend the Changing of the Colors Rally in Hatfield, Arkansas. I leave this coming Saturday to go down there again, my eleventh time. My wife, Annette, was holding the camera when we went through the ride. I didn't have a problem with gas, but I get about 160 miles on my Goldwing between gas stops. I also recommend the ride from Mena going west into Oklahoma.

Did you do the ride? Plenty of gas in Huntsville if coming from that way. Also gas at Turner Bend in middle of the trail.

on that night during the fireworks my step brother said "i wish a firework would hit me so i can sue them" 3 seconds later one hit him and he started to scream like a little girl. lol. i got hit twice at the one this year and i laughed. my step brother ran like a girl.

I had the honor of meeting Will at the same rehab he had graduated from years ago. He came and played a show for us. What an amazing man!!! He soooo inspired us during our own recovery and walk with the Lord. What a Warrior he was for God!! He passed away three weeks after he did the show for us. The impact he made on this world will live on forever and we will never forget him. RIP Will!!

when I was a kid going up the mountain really scared me but now I just love it. I am a volunteer firefighter and part of our district is on this mountain. Try going up it in an old Army duece and a half. That is what our tanker is. fun ride.

at least it wasn't freezing this year! Sorry I missed it.
