A lot of sword treatises from the period show that grip. Good luck on your studies. Skallagrim is fun,but you also might want to watch Scolagladiatoria.

Everyone in the skatescene talk about progress but its Hard to take steps back. But even on my simple Sessions like only flatground i realise how much in return i can get back if i appreciate what i have. Remember its just a wooden toy that we all love. Skateboarding gives a freedom that nothing else can, it's so true. With regards to your knee.. Look up Dr. John Sarno, read his books and keep an open mind. 'The Mind Body Syndrome' is a great place to start. I experienced the same problem later after surgery and Sarno provided the answers no one else could. Dr. David Hansome is also a great practitioner to look up. Eddy Lindenstein, 'The Mind and Fitness' podcast is also amazing for pain problems, especially with regards to sports. All the best!

long time hardcore skater with years of chronic pain and medical issues here- taking a break isn’t the end. health comes first. while you take a break- see multiple physical therapists, and research online. often times you get stuck in the same rehab routine and hit a wall. but you can always improve your mental and physical health with new techniques and routines. for the knees- it’s really important to get hamstrings flexible, have a strong core/abs, and resistance band training on feet/ankles. bob and brad on youtube have tons of videos. i went from having doctors tell me i couldn’t walk again to doing inverts and skating pools again. you got this, just listen to your body and be shameless and ruthless in your research to better your health. maybe grab a cheap sony camera to film friends if you need to be near it while you recover.
