@adamorwig2299 purple leaves can happen with many plants. But anytime you cross a dark purple type like Pimenta De Neyde with others you can get the purple pepper and or purple leaves characteristics.
@@RefiningFireChiles ok. I didn't know if one of the other is less quality or something. I almost killed mine early this summer. Too much nitrogen fertilizer. But got it back to health and just now have fruit maturing. I'm just not sure if there's enough time for any of them to ripen before winter hits.
I use diatomaceous earth as well. It helps to build thicker stems imo by providing easily absorbable silica to allow available phosphorus etc to be used elsewhere.
I pickle scotch bonnets in apple cider vinegar with cayennes, black pepper, garlic, and shallots to use for jerk chicken throughout the year. Can’t get enough of them! Awesome vid and history lesson!

One of my absolute favorites. And one of the only varieties I isolate. I don’t have kids, but my dad used to grow weed when I was a kid, and he taught me a lot about growing. My father in law is a well respected breeder and grower of azaleas and water lilies, and he has taught me an incredible amount of knowledge about growing, and I’ve leveled up a lot quicker than other growers of my similar experience because of these great men. Someday when I do have kids, they’re definitely going to get some experience in the garden, whether they like it or not!
*I measure the "burn" by how many bites of food it takes, before I take another bite of pepper.* *eg; 4 Jalapeno peppers per each burrito, or 2 Habaneros, or 1 Ghost. (LOL)* *Thanks for showing the BOC.* 🔥👍

Take a fire cracker and put it in a death spiral pepper and you have an instant pepper spray bomb! Good for crowd control but don't hang around to see the results or YOU will be the result.
*Death Spiral looks really cool-ugly/beautiful, I would like to grow many of the "Super Hots" you have, just not sure I could consume them, seeing as I have an incredibly prolific, and punishing Red Ghost already.* *No friends or family who love hot peppers want to try it twice, or even once for the most part.* *I have to be very careful not to breathe through my mouth while eating it, so as to not burn my lungs!* *Has that ever happened to you?* *I'm definitely wanting to buy some "hot" pepper plants for eating out of hand and for salsas, like Aleppo, Zapotec Jalapeno, Sugar Rush Peach, Tiger Jalapeno, Aji Lemon Drop and/or Pineapple, Sugar Rush Stripey; these are very unique, I'll be inquiring about them if, and when they become available.* *You have similar mindset as myself when it comes to peppers, (gardening, cooking, etc.) so I Subscribed, and anticipate anything you might come up with.* 👍
I like the fact that you're interested in a lot of other peppers besides super hots good little list so far. I've been stuck on my ghost plant since I was 14. I have now started expanding into other hot and non hot peppers. There is a whole world of amazing flavors that await you. 🤠🤘🏻🌶️
My plant has purple leaves also. What's the difference?

Thanks as usual. Is it true that brown varieties have larger dehydrocapsaicin content, and that makes the burn seem stronger?
