This is the most beautiful film I’ve seen in a very long time. I feel insane right now. I don’t know why the algorithm shifted under my feet as if it were a tongue moving to make the shape of gods voice speaking to only me, but I’m thankful that clip of “the American dream is India in a jar” made its way to change me. I felt so sure watching every scene that the lens was telling me of a dream I remembered that I had forgotten, something I didn’t know I was looking for and had been walking so long through hopelessness towards. These strange flinching prophets, this living water, the floating idol of durga pointing upwards, not asking “is your god a corpse?” but “why are you waiting?” I am so happy that someone has taken a picture of the America I also live in. The dream I also couldn’t wake up from if I tried. I feel less alone than I ever have tonight.

The image looks really great. I wonder what it was shot on. It also feels interesting. Not bad at all.

What a nicely produced documentary. Camera, sound & music were really good and Dick Tarnutzer has a great voice. His choice of words seems to have a Ronald Reagan style of calming voice and choice of words a good storyteller.
