hi i would like to check if the camera was connected during the recording or only retrieve it when surfaces
Oi e frozen Ia NZ smoke fish please
Looks yummy. I’m going to follow your receipe. Thank you for sharing.❣️
I wish to live here as a crazy hermit. Can I survive though?
What the hell are we doing to the Planet😢...it belongs to EVERYONE & EVERY SINGLE CREATURE in equal measure...we are only the tenants of this rare spinning globe of life in a galaxy far far away 🧡
At 2:02 you can see the net touching the sea floor scraping the bottom...
This is idiotic when you present this and are charged with food procurment.
Weve seen the sea floor any movement will comptomize the mounts. I reakon invest further down the food chain like the little stuff with artificial reefs etc . And cages where certin sizes can be drafted for escape or harvest. Dragging over mounts is not sane. A recording of all life would be informative for designing new devices.
Taiwan should learn
what a magnificence sight, not a single coral reef seen.
Wow so rare white sealion.❤
Production, most of production is conducive to growth then extraction.look at the disparity between land and sea production. Production needs investement.extraction doesnt. Thats growth.
Should be illegal. Pole and line is the way
“They can’t keep up with the growing demand for fish” is a BS excuse. Yea I agree, they should make much smaller catches because most of the fish are wasted anyways
now go look at the aftermath and see how bottom trawling destroys the seabed leaving no habitat behind for regrowth
Have you? Or are you just repeating propaganda?
I bet that piece of ground in the footage has been trawled over thousands of times yet you seem to agree it looks fine before the net goes over it...? Your comment implies that the bottom is wrecked after..?
Fishing boats usually takes the same or at least similar routes and they are still catching fish. So, there is some sort of life, at least, after bottom trawling.
Bottom trawling can be destructive, but this has been known for a long time and mitigated to some degree by changes in the design of the nets to reduce catching unwanted sea life and only allowing trawling in certain areas of the sea floor. Areas that don’t contain protected habitats like reefs.
This is flat sand, if you took some advice and inovation yourd get nylon and a motor, oh wait. Severial stocks crashing demands more fines. Sand corral ,try seeing wich one has the most fratinizing.@southpacific3160
This is absolutely wonderful. Love to see how we evolved to get so many fish at once. If one of your fish activists comment on this bro I swear
finally someone with a mote of intelligence. as if all the grain and other meat they get doesn't take up land either
Yea it’s really cool how humans are able to be the most dangerous animal in the world. We have advanced so much, but it’s getting to the point where our actions won’t be reversible
are these two rocks to be seen at 0:08 - 0:20 the "Beehive Rocks"?
This is bad
Still legal this? 🤮
Conveniently showing the clips that have the least bottom impact and not showing the trawl doors dragging along the seabeds.
Today the doors are what you call floating trawldoors. They hover above the seabed attached by chains and stabilized with weights. We are always working on trying to minimize damage to the seabed.
Stop with the brainwashing!!! Bottom trawling is horrible for the environment and you know it!
I’m going trawling Wednesday can’t wait
Sanford, disrespectfully, you suck. your $1billion profits are sick :(
boooooooooooo, you suck
I'm gonna move to this island to live.
Have you already moved there?
Bottom trawling should be illegal. Period.
Yes it should. It killed my industry.
@@ArniesBrainTrainwhat industry would that be?
@@ultra_axe7812 the fishing industry....
@@ArniesBrainTrain may i ask where youre from?
@@ultra_axe7812 im not sure how that's relevant. I worked in Alaska and lived in Seattle during my fishing career.
yall suck for being proud of this, the amount of coral reef and endangered animals killed by bycatch here.
'fishing terrain over sand, mud or gravel': Don't you mean 'habitats'?
Like all those fields you get your produce from ???
I suggest you take at look at the next paddock you see getting ploughed and see how much "habitat" is getting turned over and the worms and insects that get exposed/killed and subsequently eaten by foraging birds, and then tell me that's ok, but fishing isn't. I'll also point out, that the seafloor is some of these images has a rippled surface, showing current and possibly swell action is also having an effect on the top layer of sea floor, probably more so than the chain skimming the surface, and certainly over a far wider area.
The sandy and muddy floor has alot of life on and beneath it that fish and other marine animals depend upon for food and the destruction that these nets cause to the eco system is not worth it so we are committing environmental suicide that children and grandchildren will need to deal with.
Its lazy and you know it
2% BT all up - Im fine with that, suck it up butter cup
good

Did he ever write a book? The stories he would of told bloody awesome to listen to and this was just a tip of the iceberg
i wanna go there, build a hobbit home, farm crops, own sheep and not give a flying fuck about the world no more..
Nothing better than doing that
A small colony did that once, became alcoholic and insane after 12 months, look up the 'Hardwicke' settlement from the 1850s if you're at all interested.
@@realspecialweek I think the only real problem is the climate. It must be too cold there.

It’s a little smidge on a global map but damn it’s pretty big and beautiful
is there an agency number that can work with me
The only issue I have is that the US. sends mackerel to NZ for their tuna farms that compete with the tuna we catch!
very good job ;but i think that i am the best
I tailor a fisherman's nets, and I love the seas like you💪👍❤️❤️

Hello, I hope you will be well.
