That part right at the end is quietly devastating. In part because it feels so warm and full of love. First time hearing Bazan’s cover and it’s easily my favorite; feels like a response to the original, rather than something derivative.

a song about death that halfway until the chorus I thought it was about his sweetheart... in some sense it is... amazing vision.

It’s cool to see Vic’s music getting so much attention recently. He and Dave were personal friends and toured together. A lot of the covers emerging recently feel soulless compared to this version.
