    Do you have a video on how to raise the height of the studio frame with an Amara on it? Mine is set too low. Do I have to disassemble the whole thing in order to raise the height? In the handy quilters video on how to put the frame together, they said, set it at the lowest height. I thought by the end of the video they would teach you how to set the height, but they never did. I’m not the one that put my frame together originally, and now I realize it’s too low and it’s hurting my back. Secondly, do you have a video that shows how to install properly the handy hammock? I bought one and it came with no instructions, and it was completely useless, and I had to jury rig it to get it to attach to my frame, but now I can’t take it off if I need to. So I’m wondering if there is a proper way to do it? And if so, do you have a video for that? And if not, would you consider making a video of that? Thank you very much!

    I have an Amara. I contacted my retailer, purchased and replaced the chech spring three times. The longest one lasts is a month now. Will you please tell me where else I can purchase them and keep a bunch on hand? Also, any idea why after five years my check springs will not last now? Now my tension is a mess. I have reset it several times and if I have to move it a crank, it goes back to zero. Can't use the thread break sensor now either. I quilt every single day for customers; I can't handle my machine being out every few weeks.

    My machine isn’t rocking the same way. It has issues with the wheels that ride the length of the track. When the machine is in a forward position the rear right wheel catches in places but doesn’t consistently ride the track. Conversely, when the machine is in the rear position the front left wheel is catching in places but doesn’t ride the track consistently. This long arm purchase has been a nightmare from the onset. It came out of time The bobbin spring was set too high. The table was wonky. Some track pieces were machined to different heights. And I’m still dealing with this issue. It’s been 3.5 years of absolute dread to work with this machine. The technicians that are servicing my machine and table issues don’t seem competent and I’m stuck dealing with them. I made the mistake of buying this as a floor model that has never been set up. The shop owner didn’t have the space to erect it and was happy to have a buyer. I almost completely regret this purchase. I just wish I bought it somewhere else and didn’t get a lemon.

    I spent the better half of two years dealing with tension issues. I was ripping out half of every bobbin I put into each of my quilts. I was able to troubleshoot it down to the bobbin case. So I replaced it and that didn’t fix the issue either. No one from the quilt shop I bought it from or the manufacturer could figure out what was wrong. I was so close to sending the machine back to the manufacturer. But I happened upon a video that touched on the spring height. Sure enough I adjusted the spring height and my issue was resolved. So many hours of negative work and total frustration over the slightest adjustment! For that reason I suggest there be a more descriptive video concerning the bobbin spring and what the symptoms are that indicate it is a potential issue. For me the spring was set too high resulting in a tension change about halfway through every bobbin. I tested the theory with a Towa tension gauge and pulling entire bobbins through it. By the time I got to the end of the bobbin the tension was so tight it registered off the gauge. Seriously, on just one quilt I spent over 17 hours ripping out stitches! I can now quilt entire quilts without having to rip one stitch!!!!!

    • @LongarmTech
      @LongarmTech 4 года назад

      Wear marks on the inside of the spring from the thread cycling through it and cutting it are one sign - unfortunately the most common is a broken spring. Also shredding/tension issues - you can see if the spring has weakened and is not keeping the thread taught. I so wish I had found this video when it first was posted. I spent a year working with the shop I bought my machine from getting the table leveled! I wasn’t permitted to make any adjustments myself or I’d have to pay for them to come and fix it. It was a complicated situation. Needless to say, after a year and several visits to my house, my husband made the last adjustments to get the table to the point it should have been when we bought it. What a nightmare! I will show these to the hubby and maybe we can consider investing in some of the tools you are employing. Thanks for sharing!

My husband is an auto mechanic by trade and decided we were fixing it ourselves. One of the issues I was having was the metal bar for the channel lock system wasn’t flush and my magnet was rubbing at both seams of the table. I don’t have the pro-stitcher on mine so it was very difficult for me to control the machine in both of those locations. • @LongarmTech
      @LongarmTech 4 года назад

      It would "work", the question would be how much your machine may or may not need to be upgraded (electronics pods). Call Handi Quilter at 1-877-697-8458, press option 2, give them the serial number of the machine and be ready to pull up other info from the control screen in case they need it and they should be able to tell you what will be needed if anything for True Stitch.
