Why would anyone want a belt to explode even if there using it for off-road only and on-road with less harsh conditions too. I don't think anyone would want to buy that. Good to call it like it is.

Yeah they need to indicate the 1k warning . I think the 1k warning would be enough for someone do think about passing on that for a street bike.

It would be more like the recently popular adventure scooter (crossover scooter) rather than a dual purpose motorcycle or dual sport motorcycle.

We are glad to see you back on the road and Glad you got the bike back together. While we are not the manufacturers of The clutch kit, we do carry it. We also have tested it in real world scenarios As well as at the racetrack where it was designed to be at. I guess what I will say is the hardest part about the Can-Am Ryker specifically is knowing that it was designed to be an entry level vehicle. Upgrades like tuning, exhaust, high flow air filter or RAM air intake system, clutch kits, running a drag radial or car tire on the back. These modifications should all only be done for track use or off-road use only. Obviously we know darn well that people are not going to follow those procedures however we do make sure that we are very clear that these types of modifications are for track or off-road use. Modifying any vehicle especially something with a CVT transmission should not be taken lightly. On a side by side or ATV that runs the same exact transmission that the Ryker has The belt gets changed sometimes every single weekend. Sometimes two or three times in a weekend. So pushing one of these CVT belts ,,, even with an upgraded belt TO 3000 MILES while the entire time doing burnouts, pitching the bike sideways and smashing the throttle right off the rip is a ton of abuse. As you stated in your video, yes it makes absolutely more horsepower and more torque than any other Can-Am ryker can possibly make on the road. It all comes at a price. We do have an entire page on our website where we posted all of the general knowledge and general information about upgrading a CVT clutch and what to expect. It also states very clearly on our website in every single listing that involves clutch kits or custom tuning that this is designed for track or off-road use only. I have a ton of respect for you and we love watching your videos. We make sure that we don't miss a single one. In your videos it is very clear that you ride very aggressive. 3000 miles with this aggressive style of riding It should be expected that something was going to break. As we upgrade things and as we get deeper and deeper into the modifications and spending more and more money and time modifying the more catastrophic the break will be when it happens. Ask me how I know... Anyways I just thought I would throw my $0.10 out there. Like I said we're not the manufacturer. We stand behind this product though as we run it on our own machine however our own machine gets babied on the street and the piss beat out of it at the track. every time after the track the clutch comes apart and everything gets inspected. If a belt looks even remotely worn it gets replaced no questions asked. Replacing a $200 belt is a cheap price to pay versus what the outcome can be. Luckily on your bike it only destroyed the plastic housing. I've seen the belt take out the entire engine side as well and everything else in its path. A CVT belt can blow up at 600 mi or it can last 18,000 mi. Nobody will be able to determine that information without inspecting it constantly. That's... shameful. I mean, I've never heard of a company that sold parts for street-riden/-driven vehicles that so drastically reduced reliability or lifespan!

This is why I do not do upgrades to my bikes. I need reliability. Anyhow good to see you back on the road.

Performance is almost always a ballance, and trading long term reliability for power. If they said the belt over heated then maybe they need to make sure there is more active cooling in there to make sure that doesn't happen. I wonder how the oem belt would have held up with the kit.

What config did you have the clutch set up in? They send 4 arms and 12 magnets with the kit. The arms have 2 different holes to put the magnets.
