I will be hiking the Appalachian Trail Northbound in 2024, starting late Feb.
The Appalachian Trail is one of the most recognizable footpaths in the entire world. Covering more than 2,000 miles from Georgia all the way to Maine, the route passes through 14 states, climbing the equivalent of Mt. Everest 16 times and taking approximately 5 million steps to complete.

You're doing good. Stay safe. That's the most important thing. I think I'm just one or two days behind you. Stay safe. 🤠🇳🇴🇺🇸
I saw that the trail has mostly been cleared
Trail is looking nice!
Thank you my friend 👋🏻 Hope you're doing well 🤞🏻 Stay safe and take care, appreciate you always 🙏🏻 God Bless
Really enjoyable video. Thank you! 😍😍😍
Another great day on trail. Well done 👏
Great views and great day on trail. Thanks for sharing
I can hear those suction cup like soles on you shoes! How are they working? Too early to tell?
I follow a few thru hikers every year. You're my first ones for 2025. I'll be section hiking Va. and central Pa. in the spring. Maybe see you guys on the trail.
I will be getting off the trail in Hot Springs, NC this year, but hopefully you can run into Money!!!
Beautiful 🌅🌞Thank you my friend, appreciate you always 🙏🏻 God Bless
Good to see you again! Thanks for making videos. 😍😍😍
Thank you my friend 👍🏻Appreciate you always 🙏🏻 God Bless
Hey how far are you planning to go on this one?
I'm trying to get to Hot Springs, N.C.
@ awesome! How’s the weather down there?
Nice! It’s good to see you at the arch again!! Cool!
Looks like a Philmont arrowhead on your cap? You a scouter?
I was a scout leader. Took 2 trips out to Philmont. It is such an awesome place!
It looks like you got a beautiful day to start.
It was a great day to start!
Didn't realize you were going back out again! I'll have to get caught up on your journey. ~ Flash
Hey Flash! Yeah, gonna try to go to Hot Springs.
Love my cameo at the beginning!! Enjoy your hike!
Enjoying every minute I get to spend out here. Hope you got back safe.
@@5millionsteps I did. Home showered and in my sleep number bed by true midnight. Excited to head back Nobo on the 22nd
Stay safe and take care my friend 👊🏻👍🏻 Appreciate you always 🙏🏻 God Bless
I’m planning on hitting the trail on 3/16 for a 110 trail mile section hike to Franklin NC before I hit my 70 b-day the end of March. Planning for 10m/day, which is what my Orthopedist has approved. Can’t wait to get started!
You will have a blast! It is a beautiful section.
Well, welcome back 👏👏👏 cant wait to hear how the taco truck has been going and why you're heading back. I'm so excited for you and Money shot, too. Thanks for videoing your adventure and sharing it
Nice start! Warm and no rain. But you know it wont last! Lol!
Right!
At your next stop, pick up some nitrile gloves to use as a liner to keep your hands warm 👍🏻
Stay safe and take care my friend 🙏🏻God Bless Appreciate you always
Thank you!
Awesome start! You had to rely on “memory muscles”. Love your food truck!
I haven't gotten a food truck going yet, but saw that one in Atlanta with that saying and had to get a picture!
@ it’s awesome for sure!
There’s that 1st blaze!
It felt really good to see that again!
Great meeting you at Springer
It was great meeting you as well!
FG will begin feeding on 14th. Hope you all can meet up again
That would be great, but he is pretty busy with basketball, track and school.
I'm not an avid hiker, but why trail shoe rather than more of a comfortable hiking shoe/boot? obviously the trail shoe is not a sneaker, correct?
The trail shoe, from my understanding is used a lot out here due to the wet conditions. They are quick drying. There are still quite a few people that prefer boots. I think if I were doing the full trail again, I would start and end with boots and use trail runners through the middle sections. Trail Runners are also lighter.
Have a great , safe hike my friend 👍🏻 Appreciate you always 🙏🏻 God Bless
Thank You!
Awesome! Your videos have been super helpful as I plan my next LASH. Summer conditions last year were brutal. Best of luck!
Awesome! Hope you have a great LASH!
You have a very nice wife!
The most bestest wife ever!!!!
Good luck and safe travels my friend 👍🏻 Appreciate you always 🙏🏻 God Bless
Thank you! I'm excited to get back out there.
Welcome back Taco! Looking forward to following along! I haven’t latched onto a thru hiker yet this year so glad to see your video pop up. Happy trails to you.
This will give you a little teaser until you find your hiker. Thanks!
I have backpacked about 125 miles in my Traverses and love them, they are a great bridge from boots to runners.
I have no hard feelings for them. Great shoes. Had to make some adjustments for my feet, but when I did, I was very happy.
Congratulations!!
Taco! Check your email and phone NoBo Lobo
This has been a fantastic voyage. Thank you for sharing it!
Congratulations! Thanks for taking us along with you on your epic journey. I really enjoyed following you. Best of luck on your next adventure. Mountain Goat.
Thank you!
I don't know of any brand of hiking shoes I've owned that the toe caps didn't start to or peel right off!😊
I didn't have any. I was wearing them a half size to full size larger so my toe cap caught a lot of rocks and roots.
Congratulations!!! Well done!
Thank you!!
So amazing thanks for showing your journey with so many. So happy to see that you had family to celebrate your success. Wish I could have been there as well to say thanks for the videos. Good luck with your next adventure.
It was great to be finished! Family showing up made it very special!
@5millionsteps what day did you summit. My friend Sparrow and her dog Mica finished on Katahdin on 9/11. I was able to join her for the last day. Thought we might have been in the Park when you finished. Was so happy for you. Too bad FG wasn't there to hike the last day with you. Best luck to you in your next endeavors.
We summited Sept 3rd
