Only thing that worked for me was disabling the fps patch unfortunately.

I had the same issue on my i7 2600k. What worked for me is going to config.yml and changing "PPU Threads:" value to 8 instead of 2 (I have 8 logical cores). Some people say that changing it to 1 solved the issue for them, so you can try that also, but for me it made the problem worse, unlike setting it to 8. I'm still getting occasional audio hickups here and there, especially at Stonefang, but it's night and day to what it was before. Note that If you're using a custom config for Demon souls, your config.yml will be located somewhere in RPCS3\config\custom_configs and would be named something like config_BLES00932.yml or close to it, depending on your DeS version.

I'm having the exact same problem. The most annoying part is that it happened to me six months ago but I fixed it by putting my PC on sport mode but now that ain't fixing nothing. I've done many things: using the firmware I used 6 months ago, changing settings, using older versions of RPCS3 and nothing works. I still can play the game perfectly at 60 fps but the audio stutter is driving me crazy. I've heard people saying "Your CPU is not that powerful" but as I said I managed to solved it before. Is there any fix by now? It's been 3 days of raging trying to fix it with no solution I want to play Demon's Souls again without that problem really bad.

fix: Go back to default settings then only change these: set SPURS to 3 in advanced tab, enable vsync, disable framelimit, enable write colour buffer, and use the patches

I use the unlock frame rate patch, and once i do the audio stuffs up a bit. Its fine at the standard 30 fps, i have tried setting frame limit to off, 60 and 59 luckily theres a solution it does run on a frame limit of 50 perfectly..... Its a 10 fps trade off yes but id rather 50 than 30 hehe.

So after many nights of troubleshooting that same issue, I finally fixed it! I am not sure about everyone else, but my issue was caused by how I installed my 60fps patch, also I believe my emulator version had something to do with it. It would run fine without the patch, but as soon as I added the patch I got that same sound issue. First you must use a newer emulator, but do not use the newest. "You need one that gives you the newer config file to edit clocks scale and vblank" I am using version 0.07-9299 When you install the 60fps patch make sure to follow these instructions below: rpcs3.net/blog/2019/08/12/new-demons-souls-60fps-patch/ The patch I used did not require me to change the clocks scale, but I did edit the vblank rate! I also did not mess with the " Log: "

looking promising might try it out hell ill play the music in the background or a playlist to hot keys or summin battle,boss,roaming i also read on the discord that it only effects sound on cutscenes and apprantly this first fight is considered a cutscene how it pans but will soon see

Change your preferred SPU threads to 2 (auto default) I haven't tested it in the tutorial area but I had the same thing there, and later but seems to be fixed now.
