wow. Guess a mic really does bring out the fake-ness in you. Well, my fellow Singaporeans are generally, kiasu, complain alot and always feel the urge to compete or do better in all aspect of their lives. If they can't do better, they resort to bragging and comparing. As to how we view Malaysians, I think it's very dependant on what SES level they seems to gravitate towards. Generally, they are able to socialize better, more cautious and grab opportunities when needed. Singaporeans can be quite entitled and clueless due to the overly managed environment we live in. Therefore, actually alot of Singaporeans in their actual private lives, can easily build up a significant level of resentment over time and can go from like to hate. The good Malaysians are honestly very decent people and it's a large proportion that help contribute to our economy. They understand and appreciate the that there's really more than enough to go around as long as you work hard and contribute. Thank you and we as Singaporeans really really appreciate you contributions even if your goal was to earn money. Best is you stay for many more years and convert citizenship so you continue to contribute to Singapore, a place we build for the people who choose to call this island home. However, there's also a huge group of Malaysians that in their private lives, always have this perception that Singapore owes it to Malaysia and that even though they are the ones that made that huge leap to earn Singapore Dollars, they will never truly acknowledge anything that puts Singapore ahead of Malaysia. Best example is that if you mention anything about good food in Singapore, there's always this intense urge to remind everyone that Malaysia has the same and is BETTER! They also wear thick camoflage to hide this fact & some of the above group can fall into this mentality if they get influenced over time. That's the true view, in a generic sense, it's really very 50/50, love/hate, yin/yang group of people that so similar, but again so different.

of course different loh ... we are very much richer than malaysia. malaysia still poor country .. and not educated like us, not sure how many malaysian could afford going to school, let alone higher education. may be comparison for malaysia would be better vs vietnam, philipines, cambodia or laos ..

on paper, spore happiness index is no 1 in Asean . . . but are we really happy in our daily life ?? I read an article by a sporean, questioning ... are sporean really happy or it is just on paper. he think we only feel happy when weare on holiday is malaysia !! my sister married a malaysian who worked in spore. she had already moved to malaysia (malacca) about 5 years ago. even though she did not mention to me, i can see that she's has happy life compare to when in spore. recently, my brother in law got job offered (from his previous company, with better salary in $SG) .. but my sister refuse to follow him to spore. anyway, she allows her husband to work again in spore if that is good for his career and family .. but for just few years and she want to stay in malacca with her 2 children. her husband can come back on weekend or within 2 weeks. I asked her why ? she said, she's ok with her husband to earn higher salary .. good for family and children. for her, she's happy raising her children in malacca, education is good, she satisfy with her 5 room double storey house and her 2 sons can enjoy balance between education + freedom ... she enjoy to see her sons playing hockey and football, beside study. the neighbourhood is good. even though not very close but she know many neighbours as they often have meet together cleaning their area on monthy basis. neighbours often invite her to their house during cny, hari raya and deppavalli. for her, she don't want live in "concrete jungle" anymore !

uncle roger is a scammer and cheater.he gives people cold fried rice and other food that is very expensive and his fried rice is not nice.you can get delicious nasi goreng ayam from mamak restaurant for 13 ringgit and delicious fried rice from ordinary chinese shops for 10 ringgit.people who go to uncle roger's restaurant are stupid people bcos he overcharges them.he is nothing but a scammer and cheater.

I was a big fan of Uncle Roger but in this video at 9:10 he makes a statement that disturbed many many people including me. Some things are not funny no matter how much you try or how innocent you try and make the joke seem. Saying 9/11 was a date" when nothing important ever happen" is a mortal sin and and a terrible blow to thousands of family members of people who died on that "nothing important happen day" I am unsubscribing and boycotting all of his future work and so are hundreds of my family and friends and I would imagine thousands across the USA and millions here in NY. You should give a heartfelt apology to these people and not as Roger but as Nigel. If your entire family was wiped out in a terrorist attack in Malaysia and some comedian makes a joke about what happened on that day how would you feel. Might as well finish up with a stupid statement about the holocost not being even worth remembering. Lose another million subscribers. Statements like the one you made have cost performers their entire careers and I think you should make amends and literally beg forgiveness. Maybe too much Saki that morning? You better have good excuse but apology is a necessity. I was told he made his fame by being controversial. controversial is one thing. My brother died that day and there is nothing controversial about that fact. I know it was a facetious remark but its a remark that is much too sensitive a topic to mention in any form but a respectful one. He should man up and admit he should not have said that.
